This was the first restaurant I visited the first time I came to Vallarta a few years ago. Now that I live here, I try to visit at least once a month. Coco and her family always make me feel welcome, she will go out of her way to make anything you may want even if it is not on... More

I have been to Vallarta over 30 times since 1998. I have visited nearly every type of restaurant from the street side taco stands to the very best hillside venues. I have written reviews on most of them. But, I must tell you FORGET where this place is ranked on TripAdvisor. It is FANTASTIC! It has moved from the flea... More

We had their Special of the day for $200 pesos. This included chips and salsa to start the meal, a large margarita of your choice, fresh fish fillet with all the beans, rice, tortillas and three choices of sauces. The food was pleasantly presented and the service was excellent and very accomodating. We enjoyed sitting on the sidewalk tables and... More

We had here our first breakfast and our first dinner after arriving in PV. I had Mexican style eggs, with beans etc. It was tasty. However the problem was the noise. The restaurant is located at Basilio Badillo which is a rather busy street with a lot of busses going on and they make a terrible noise. As we walked... More

After strolling by this cafe several times, we decided to stop in for an evening meals -- and were really pleased with our experience :) Their dinner offerings consisted of a large array of Mexican dishes that were traditionally prepared... We very much enjoyed their tasty huachaningo (whole snapper fish, deep fried so that most of the bones could be... More

We stopped at this sidewalk cafe for lunch because they listed pozole on their menu, which usually means "authentic". The service was attentive. They gave us tortilla chips and very thin guacamole and salsa for an appetizer (which honestly wasn't very tasty.) My husband had a camarones and avocado quesadilla, which he said was very very good, especially the tortilla... More

Sorry but we used to like their food when they were at their other location, same family but something is not going good here. we had breakfast and it was just average, nothing special and nor worth seeking out when you can go across the street to the Pancake house or a few doors down to Freddys Tucan

We went on a busy Sunday morning and the service seemed a little uncoordinated. It was our first visit so, I don't know if this unusual or the norm. The breakfast menu is limited but, the food was good and the prices are very reasonable. The non-breakfast menu looked interesting so, we will likely try them again.

Do you want Mexican food in the Romantic Zone/Old Town, like you find at the hole in the wall places several blocks inland? Yes? Then give Huaranchon Azteca a try, it would be great if other people like their food and they become popular enough to stay in their current location. We thought their food, the prices, and the service... More

El Huarachon Azteca is located at the end of Av. Bastillo Badillo. It is a simple restaurant and serve both locals and tourists. The food is authentic Mexican food, not American Mexican food. Do not expect it to taste like what we have in the US but there is a similarity. The names are similar like tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc.... More
