Locals joint ...simple menu....great prices..Lunch "prix fix" was 65 pesos.. Jan 2017..(.soup entree and dessert..salsas /tortillas ..and daily fruit "water"of the day)..preparation simple but on the mark...staff very friendly ! I'd be a regular myself if I didn't live 2300 miles away..will have to do something about that..

This is my daily lunch spot in PV. Everything is excellent - especially the Pozole. The menu changes throughout the day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's a bit confusing with the way they have it listed on the menu, but you get used to it. The service is a bit scattered. Sometimes you have to fight for it -... More

There are only a few things to chose from but everything we tried was excellent. We had tamales, pozole and enchiladas. They also had hard tacos, sopas and tostadas. Maybe a couple of other items but it is not a varied menu and does not have Tex Mex items like fajitas and burritos. They serve beer but not anything else... More

If you are looking for authentic Mexican dinner, this is the place. They don't offer a lot of options, because that's how authentic cenadurias are supposed to work. Try the atole, it is the best I've ever had.

Excellent service and very cheap prices. The best pozole is PV in my opinion. Great local food in a casual atmosphere.....

We knew we hit it right when we were clearly the only tourists in the restaurant. As we eyed the sauces on the table, the waiter warned us "hot, caliente." Not heeding the warning my husband tried them and gleefully enjoyed sweating marble sized bullets through his meal. My 18 year old son who loves heat had a few tears... More

We went here because a local recommended it to us and I'm so glad we did. It's very easy to find, right next to the big cathedral downtown. Most of the people in the restaurant weren't tourists which is a good sign. We got a little of everything and nothing disappointed. My favorites were the sopes and the potato enchiladas.... More

We ate dinner at El Campanario fours times on our visit to PV. The menu is simple, the food is great and the prices are amazing. They open at 6:30pm for dinner. It is located across the street from the main church in PV. Give it a try if you want good authentic Mexican food!!

We went here after a very disappointing dinner at El Palomar. My husband was still starving so we asked our taxi driver for the best authentic Mexican food in PV. We were not disappointed. It is a tiny hole in the wall kind of place right across the street from the Cathedral. Beers are 50 cents a piece and tacos... More

This place is absolutely amazing! Tried everything on the dinner menu except the enchiladas (but I'm sure there delicious too) was extremely satisfied with the food, service, and the bill which was extremely cheap. If traveling with a group and want a good local place to eat I highly recommend coming here you will not regret. Should be in top... More
