The food tasted amazing. We ordered a fish filet with seafood add-on, for $170 pesos, along with a hamburger/fries plate for I think $60 pesos. The shrimp were more like prawns, huge and fresh and full of flavour, and had already been de-shelled. I had about ten on my plate, and the octopus bits were perfectly cooked, and so yummy.... More

Great food, well priced, lots of locals. We had shrimp quesadilla and ceviche- excellent. Just down the block from the local municipal fresh food market. Lots of hot sauces; be careful with the 'chili' sauce in the black bowl. The giant margarita is huge- needs an extra tequila shot though. Would definitely go back.

We went to the Emiliano Zapata Mercado for groceries It was a cluster of various shops in the southside about 7 blocks inland from the ocean. By the time we walked there & finished shopping, it was time for a rest & a beverage. El Colera looked perfect. It was an open-fronted Mexican restaurant. All the patrons looked like locals... More

The food was good and priced right. It was very noisy but didn't bother us... we had the best margarita here too. Downside....service was really bad. Took 15 minutes before our order was taken and took another 20 for our drinks to come....food after another 20 minutes.

Found this place by accident. Was looking for a trail to get into the hills and get lost in the jungle. Heard good music playing from the juke box. Saw locals enjoying the moment. Had to experience it. Comfortable setting. Local/old town feel. Away from the bustle of resort/touristy section. Great hot and cold seafood plates. I had the seafood... More

The last time I dined at this restaurant I tried the Shrimp Aguachile, and it's just not for me, but that's not their fault. On that trip, my husband and our friends loved their Cheese Stuffed Bacon wrapped shrimp. This visit I ordered the Shrimp Quesadilla which had Chipotle Mayo on it and it was very good and satisfying. The... More

We stopped here after a visit to the great market nearby. We had Marlin Taquitos and Shrimp Quesadilla. Great service, great food. Will go back again.

The place is very popular with the locals and I see why: the food's great, prices are reasonable and the service is very good, quick and friendly. Minimal English spoken but very easy to get by. Music can be a tad loud at times, but just adds to the atmosphere. :)

There is little English spoken here so you really need someone to help in the translation of the menu. Other than that, the food is consistently very good and the staff attentive
