Smallish place, but the food and service is excellent. Great little find. I went with friend and we tried a variety of dishes and all were very good. Great place in warmer weather as it is air conditioned. Have also eaten outside on street side tables also very nice.

Visited here my first trip to PV in 2014. Had to make sure I found it again this year! Still the same great food and service off the beaten trail of Basillo Badillo. Show them some love ❤️ when you visit!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. I wish they were open for dinner in the low season as the menu looks amazing. They are open for breakast and lunch and really need customers to make it through the low season.

We've been to Bistro Balsamar three times, always for breakfast and lunch. When we went most recently, they were not open for dinner. Summer off-season hours. We've had a few kinds of pancakes there. All perfect. Light and with (sometimes) the fruit on top. We've had tortilla soup and empanadas (with a *snack* of tasty cauliflower, on the house). I... More

I had read about this place on someone's trip report, so I thought I would try it with my group (three newbies and one second-timer) on the first morning of our vacation. I really enjoyed the area (just across from Fredy's but on a more residential area of I. Vallarta). I also liked the outdoor seating. That was a real... More

Alejandro is in charge. Friendly staff and environment, great food and value. A little hidden but worth finding. Sidewalk seating available. Varied menu

60 pesos for a very nice tortilla soup, chicken sopes, and a fresh pineapple water. Even though they are on summer hours, closing at 5pm, they offered to make anything from the dinner menu if we wanted. Worth returning.

We first went with our two young daughters and us. It was a nice quiet breakfast, the juices are fresh made. Good quality coffee and excellent breakfast. I had the nopales scramble (which was amazing and I had it again on a second visit) kids had the pancakes which they loved and my husband the huevos rancheros, also delicious. They... More

This little (and when you look inside you'll appreciate this comment) cafe is 1/2 block off Basilio Badillo on Vallarta. If possible, eat outside, as it's much nicer. Inside tables are closer and the atmosphere is way too dark. The food is excellent. There are daily specials, but they are only discounts on regular items. We had breakfast and the... More

Small and clean place with very limited choices. Portions are small, a little overpriced but tasty. Was ok but I would not go again.
