No wonder the place is always, always empty. The salsa picante is good but the rest is not even close to a real mexican dish. If you are looking for autenticity, look some where else. We ordered a dish, they brought something else thinking we would not recognize it. They were wrong and We sent it back. Watch it! Also,... More

This unassuming restaurant on Basilio Badillo in the Zona Romantica makes wonderful dishes with three different mole sauces, one of which is created by the owner's mother from Mexico City. The drinks are good. The prices are inexpensive. The service is pleasant. BUT GO FOR THE MOLE! If you are not a fan of mole I would skip it.

Here's classical Mexican dishes that we yearn for. The soups are fantastic and the enchiladas excellent. We've walked by and waited for a night we were hungry to enjoy great mole and salsa verde. The chips and three dipping sauces go well with a beer. Hard to stop so great when the main courses arrive. Cozy interior and a rear... More

Table on the sidewalk where we could watch the action on Basilio Badillo. Three different kinds of mole: chocolate, green, peanut-pumpkin. Samples offered and accepted before we decided to stay. Enjoyed a delicious special for two which included chile relleno, salmon, chips with three different mole dips, and a bottle of white wine. The chile relleno and salmon were served... More

Here for 21 days and are determined to try 21 different restaurants this year. Got pulled in by the humorous staff drumming up business early in the dinner period. Live music starting at 7PM. Seating available both indoors and out. Nightly specials. My wife and I had two outstanding meals, great adult beverages and service was over-the-top attentive. Fantastic flan... More

I highly recommend this place when in PV. In other words do not miss it. Sacred 3 types of mole yum. Fresh , clean farm to table fare. It's truly a tasty Mexican food from chips, guacamole, fish, mole sauce etc. etc. Drinks are very delicious too. It's cheap but again not the taste. Service excellent - there you have... More

Had to pick a place for dinner -last minute- with friends..was super impressed with the owner coming out to give us a taste. We loved the Molé , the drinks and the appetizers. And loved hearing the owner's story...

This was hands down the best food we had in Puerto Vallarta!!! We liked it so much, we went twice!! The chicken enchilada with 3 types of mole is quite possibly the best meal I've ever had - I will dream about this dish!!! Served with rice and beans - I can hardly wait to go back and have it... This place is the real deal. We had chicken enchiladas with the house mole and my parents had the chile relleno with shrimp and house mole. The mole has all the traditional flavors, sweet, a little bit of spicy, nutty... Do yourself a favor and try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Description
A mexican restaurant with autentic mexican food, the special is the mole sauce witch is made like in the past, an artesian mole that takes over a week to prepare, unique texture and a chocolate taste at the end. A very house warming atmosphere, and always a good service taken by the owners themself.
