This is a very cute restaurant in town that specializes in mole. They had a variety of salsa for the chips as well. A lady makes the tortillas right in front of the restaurant and you can watch how it's done! I would recommend this place for a nice authentic mexican meal.

I enjoy a good mole, so when a restaurant has the word in the title I expect it to be amazing. I love how they sample their different moles on the sidewalk to passersby. I walk this street a lot, so I really could fill up on sample chips and mole, haha. After 4 trips, I finally had a chance... More

This is a small restaurant with great food and incredible Chocolate Mole. Drinks were large and reasonably priced.

Decided to check out this restaurant following the reviews on Yelp. It also was a short walk from our AirBnB stay for the vacation so a bonus there. (Though nothing is really that far away in that Zona). If you're a lover of mole, you'll really enjoy this spot. If you're not one yet, this may make you one. If... More

This is a very friendly small restaurant with great authentic food. We went back 3 times in one trip, which is rare for us. Mole is not my favorite, but this mole had a deep smoky sweet flavor that I loved. Have it on a handmade corn and beet juice tortilla. Bartender Ivan makes a flavorful Margarita. Very reasonable with... More

We were here very late and the service was probably a little slow, but the place was shutting down and we still had an amazing meal. Continue to believe this is the best Mole in PV. I had the Mole de Jovita breast. Even better was the chicken enchilada w mole. Great waiter. Out the door for $31 w two... More

My daughter and I were staying at the Riu Vallarta for a few days. We met a group by the pool and they said they were going to a really good place downtown for dinner on Friday and invited us to go along. We all piled into their rental car and drove to El Mole de Jovita. OMG this food... More

We have dined here 2 times before, once for dinner(it was just ok) and breakfast(it was good). We decided to try it again for dinner. I ordered the "jovita" mole enchiladas which is supposed to be a mole negro. I make Oaxacan mole negro using almost 30 different ingredients and grow a special chili called chilhuacle negro just for this... More

We apologies for this negative experience that you had in our place, and also excuse our waiters too for not informing where are mole comes from. Yes, the mole comes from a place close to Mexico city, a place called Huixquilucan where Jovita is from. She personally makes the mole the way her family does now for three generations with... More

Truth be told, we stopped in just to listen to a young man named ERIK, playing his heart out on the guitar, but we stayed for the delicious food and Cerveza. I didn't even know what mole was, but OMG it's great. Jaime gave us excellent service, along with such large portions. Colleen and I will be back again and... More

Description
A mexican restaurant with autentic mexican food, the special is the mole sauce witch is made like in the past, an artesian mole that takes over a week to prepare, unique texture and a chocolate taste at the end. A very house warming atmosphere, and always a good service taken by the owners themself.
