We stumbled upon this place and we were welcomed in. Very very friendly staff. The traditional ceviche was delicious made with Sierra local fish. We also had two of the shrimp dishes which were good but very spicy!

Even if seafood isn't your first choice, you are sure to enjoy a memorable meal at Bahia. This newly reopened family restaurant has a long history of serving superbly prepared seafood in Mazatlan. I've never liked octopus but our friend ordered a grilled version and...More

This is a revamped family restaurant, in a beautiful setting, off the beaten path. They started their business in 1950 and recently have refurbished and renewed their menus. They serve breakfast and go right through to dinner. We visited on two different occasions, once for...More

We stopped by for lunch yesterday (Feb. 5, 2017) and discovered that the restaurant was closed. A big sign on the door said that it is planning to reopen soon (perhaps for Carnaval later this month?). We have eaten there twice before during our years...More

Sadly, my husband and I were the only customers on a dinner outing last year. After handing us a menu for drinks and food, everything we ordered "they were out of." I know what that means usually, "We don't buy inventory because it goes bad...More

Bahia is a family run restaurant, seafood only. And I mean only. No chicken, no steak. Just fish, oysters, crab, shrimp, squid etc. Dining is outdoors in the courtyard with bats flitting in the tree. Never a crowd, and hours are irregular. The Pajaritos are...More

We went there just for fish ceviche, it is the best. Don't miss the homemade flan, best I have had in a long time. No air conditioning, so make sure to sit by a fan. Very friendly service.

Have been there 4 times over the past 5 visits to Mazatlan. This restaurant has been in business since 1960 and is probably the oldest continuous operation in town. Set in an open courtyard; very romantic very charming. Owner is gracious, food is exquisite. Zarandeado...More

Our B&B hosts recommended it when we said we were looking for Mazatlán's specialty: the fish "zarandeado". It was indeed perfect. The fish is cut open like a book, filled with spices and minced vegetables and then grilled over a BBQ. It seems that the...More
