There are several places in downtown Huatulco but this on is the best. From shrimp cocktail to fresh catch of the day. Owned by fisherman you will get the true variety of your wishes.

Great fish of the day , challenge is not all employees speak English which can be a challenge. Eduardo speaks English and will get it right , we were fortunate on 2 occasions unfortunately yesterday when he was not in it all went wrong , fish was cooked incorrectly, waiter also missed 2nd dish we ordered Still a good place... I can tell this is a place popular with locals and visitors, and I can see why. Being a fan of ceviches, seafood cocktails, etc., I had one of their campechana dishes for dinner (the marinara, I think it was called) and it was delicious and just right in term of portion size. Reasonably priced, too. Menus and service are... More

We ate a couple of times at this restaurant. Both times were great. The Mahi Mahi was great. Also great price for the wonderful good.

Andrew Zimmern was here ten years ago. I show his Mexico episode to my classes. (Even if he himself is annoying, his videos are interesting.) When I looked for good snorkeling spots, Huatulco came up, and once there, I had to go to this restaurant he features in the video. It did not disappoint. I made my husband share the... More

We are very happy to discover El Grill Marinero. Came by for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the snapper with chipotle sauce and the grilled tuna. Both were perfectly cooked, sauces did not distract from the fish. Our host was fantastic; friendly and helpful. A couple of Victoria's and we were smiling and set for the afternoon. Many thanks... Grillo Marinero was highly recommended by a number of people- the concierge at Las Palmas, guests there who come every year and of course the reviews here. We went twice cause I really wanted to love the place. The food is good, solid, fresh etc... it's very simple but not special or "amazing" as many say. I had the octopus... More

We ordered the fresh fish & octopus. Beautifully cooked. Our waiter was lovely. (An endless stream of vendors/ musicians walk in to sell or sing the entire time, and then seem confused that no one has any cash left to tip them) They close around 8 or earlier, if the fish runs out. They do have a strobe light effect-... More

We always have to eat here during our stay in Huatulco. We got in just before they closed. Had the octopus and garlic shrimp. Excellent as always. 500 pesos for 3 dinner and beers. Can't beat that and the quality is above and beyond any other place.
