I will not lie. It is a 20 minute bone jarring ride in a taxi but once you get to Alejandro's place...paradise. Great beach to walk and beachcomb on, a wonderful menu with excellent food. Highly recommended. Plan to stay for hours, and wear your swim suit if you are so inclined.

It's an adventure worth taking. We took a taxi, and yes it is rough and bumpy...but wow, so worth it. Alejandro was so warm and welcoming and full of ideas and suggestions it was truly an 11/10 experience. The view, the food, the people, the other guests...very surreal and utterly amazing. If we were here longer we would go again,... More

You are better off getting there by boat, but worth the trip. The food is great and you can't beat the atmosphere.

We went to La Picazon for lunch with friends and were pleasantly surprised by the picturesque location and the great food. Alejandro greeted us with a big smile and catered to our every need.. If you want great service and great food this would be a favorite. The road out there is not the best but well worth the travel..... More

Driving here you'll feel like you're being bounced around and you'll wonder if you'll ever actually get there. Then you arrive and you're cast under Alejandro's magic spell. The setting is beautiful, romantic, peaceful, and very friendly. The margarita was terrific along with the tortilla chips with three sauces. Chocolate clams were an unusual treat. The halibut, sea bass, shrimp,... More

What a beautiful place. I will warn you it takes a while to drive out to this beautiful place. But MORE than worth the drive. If you want an adventure and a welcoming like you have come home you have to visit this extraordinary restaurant. It is only open from (I think) 11 AM to 6 PM. The food is... More

I won't lie, it's guitar a trek to get to La Picazon but it is worth the trouble. Head out in the morning and spend a bit of time on the beach and then come in for food. Then, back to the beach to look for amazing shells, relax in the water, take in the views and then head back... More

La Picazon is a restaurant by the sea, with an amazing view - reached only by driving a few miles down a dirt road outside of Loreto, or by boat. It is the perfect place for a leisurely lunch, or sunset dinner. The owner greets you and immediately brings chips and an unusual array of yummy dips to your table... More

As many have mentioned, this is an off-the-grid restaurant on a dirt road north of Loreto that should probably be attempted with someone who has been there. It's a ways up the dirt road. Very relaxing once there, though. And, as someone else mentioned, the garlic mayonnaise, pickled jalapeño,and red spicy sauce are the most flavorful compliments to tortilla chips... More

Our friends who live in Loreto took us to La Picazon. I am pretty sure we could never find it on our own. But it is lovely. The food is just excellent. It is feet away from the beach with a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez. From appetizer to dessert, everything was beautiful and delicious.
