We ate here our first night after the first two places we tried, closed before six. They have excellent guacamole. Our server was very patient while we stumbled through the Spanish menu. Granted we much prefer a Spanish menu to an English one. I ordered grilled fish and it was excellent. The waiters were very nice and we enjoyed our... More

I always go here when I'm in La Paz. Usually it's great. Fresh seafood. Was there a few days ago and it was so so. My friend ordered oysters and they were not the best. Small and not that fresh. We also had to flag down a server to got drinks and the check. Not the best service. BUT. I... More

The food was pretty good, great location right across form the ocean boardwalk and with many years of tradition in La Paz. Though apparently the owner's son is now running the place and trying to turn it into a sports-bar like ambience with lots of TVs. Problem is that the speakers are all pointing toward the terrace tables and we... More

Spent an evening with my friends at the Bismarck. Took a long time for the waiter to come to our table and a longer time for the order. The food was not so great. Pricey and will not go back.

The seafood should have been out of this world, but it was merely good. The lobster a la plancha was strangely difficult to pry loose from its shell. The lobster chile relleno was just ok. The clam and fish ceviche was really good. It took a long time (an hour+) to get our food. Given its location on the malecon... More

Pretty much every guide or website lists Bismark-cito, and they do have a great gimmick: they’re not a steakhouse, they’re a lobsterhouse. The homemade chips came with a lobster flavored dip, and the lobster burritos I had were amazing: they actually had lobster in them, not a bunch of stuffing. It was great. Down side is the vibe; no one... More

Bismark is on the Malecon, the main promenade and caters for the locals as well as touists. Large, efficient it severs mostly fish in large portions with panache. My shrimp salad was good but more expensive and not quite as good as Mariscos down the street

We enjoyed the delicious food, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Also a great place to watch a game as there were many T.V's
