On a rather blustery early fall day, I very much enjoyed the seasonally appropriate rabbit casserole and rather garlicky mashed potatoes. My husband and son gave great reviews to the Dorado and a Pesto Pasta. The ambience was quintessential French countryside coolness - and the hillside town was perfect for a postprandial stroll before heading back on the road..

Loved this place. Not our first choice but what a stroke of luck. Simple and unfussy. We both had salad. Fois Gras and a Caesar's. Perfectly put together with a nice touch of a tapenade toast on the side. Beautiful.

La Garde Adhemar is a very special place 2 hours south of Lyon. The restaurant is in an old castle on top of a hill that has great views over the surrounding country. With GPS, it was easy to find. The little village was great with 3 eating options plus a general store for daily provisions. The people in general... More

we had a terrific lunch on the terrace of this café. Service was great and friendly, beautiful location. We had the rabbit kebab and the lemon chicken kebab, both were outstanding, and their dessert was also wonderful.

After having visited La Garde Adhemar which is an adorable village/town we stopped for lunch at L'absinthe. We had the choice between outside or inside and since it was quite a windy day and that I was with my 92 year old mother we chose inside. It took a while to get 5 people the decide what to eat, most... More

Had nice lunch at this place. Though the wind was blowing we were able to sit outside and enjoy the menu du jour.

The service was great as the restaurant was so busy - really lovely and worth a detour. The fish was amazing .

Had a relaxed dinner here in july 2013. The outside space is amazing. The restaurant is beautifully restored and is overlooking the idyllic town square. The food is actually good. It's more than just another tourist trap. Don't expect haute cuisine, but it's good, honest food. The staff (all female) is friendly, but seeing it was rather busy, they were... More

Been to L'absinthe a couple of times and if the weather is nice, the setting is fantastic, exactly what you want in a provencal village... The food and service were both OK, not fantastic, but acceptable, and bearing in mind there were 20 of us on one occasion, they managed pretty well. Prices are about average and food was a... More

This restaurant is on on the town square, very casual, lovely seating outdoors under umbrellas. I had a grilled fish which was just delicious. Looking at my neighbours' meals, everything else on the menu looked great! And for the first time, there was decent bread at a lower priced restaurant. Highly recommended.
