We had a meal here at Sunday lunchtime. While there was a reasonable selection of Sunday roasts there was also an extensive menu of other main courses. I had a steak and ale pie which came with colcannon and vegetables. The pie was served with a (much needed) jug of gravy. I followed this with Eton mess, which appeared to... More

I took my mother here a couple of weeks ago and had a nice time. It was many years since we had been here, so we did not know what to expect. I had a burger, and my mother had plaice, and both meals were tasty, and the portions were very good. I also had a dessert and, with a... More

Went on a Friday, Fish night! There was a good choice and it was good value. I had fish, chips and mushy peas for my main. The fish was lovely, but the only criticism was thst the chips were slightly undercooked and a tad thick, but the meal on the whole was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Yesterday I had Sunday lunch here with my brother and sister in law. We were all very pleased with the service, quality and temperature of the food and the portion size. The pub was very welcoming and had a busy but not crowded atmosphere with families and couples. Our order was taken quickly and the waiter Shabbar was polite and... More

This is a lovely pub in a great location on the way into Lymm Village. Only a few minutes from the M56/A556 junction. There are real fires and the pub has a friendly atmosphere. We ate there. The food is good, with a varied menu which also caters for Gluten Free people via a separate menu. Worth a visit!

Three of us went for lunch . Sat in a lovely little corner of the pub . We had lunch from the specials menu . A starter and a main course . Lovely food , well presented , served quickly and efficiently by a pleasant, friendly waitress . Well done to the staff . To be recommended .

Very welcoming pub, we often go in after a nice walk round Lymm dam as dogs are allowed in the bar. We sometimes leave the dog at home to go in the restaurant where the food is served nice and hot , The staff are very friendly and always smiling,

I have been eating out at the Jolly Thresher on and off for the last 20 years, starting when there was just a small dining area with two sittings on a Saturday evening. Even back then, the food and service was excellent and second to none and as the restaurant has expanded over the years, the high standard and wonderful... More
