Visited several times whilst staying locally for a week. Great food, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Two meals and several coffees and cake, enjoyed chilling in the bar on a comfy sofa with the dog at my feet.

Very attentive and friendly service from all staff and the food was delicious. Good choice of dishes. The restaurant was comfortable and the setting could not be bettered.

We had the salmon -- which is my favorite just about anywhere. It was well-cooked and anything you eat here is made better by the magnificent river view. Not especially memorable cuisine but certainly a lovely slice of Scotland all the same.

Have passed here many times and always thought it was more of a bar for outdoor pursuits folks. Checked out the restaurant before a recent drive home. From start to finish it was excellent. A fantastic welcome and service throughout - something that's missing in the area. Nice setting I expect with river views in daytime. Great wholesome food which... More

Mr Bridie and I had taken the visiting in-laws to Aberfeldy for a wee festive day out between Christmas and New Year with the promise of a nice wee light lunch before our planned hefty evening meal. Despite it being a normal working day, several places in Aberfeldy weren't serving food and those that were, were full. We drove on... More

I was working up in Scotland for a week and stayed in B&B just outside Pitlochry, I passed The Inn on the Tay during the day and decided to eat there in the evening. Well, what a find, the bar area was perfect to sit and unwind with a local ale, the restaurant was very well presented, but I opted... More

Wonderful location by the river where you can watch them carry out kayaking and white water rafting I had a very nice chicken pie which was enclosed in a ball of short crust pastry and lovely rich gravy with roasted veg. Unfortunately my wife had the fish and chips which were poor as the batter was heavy and the fish... More

This is a lovely restaurant, The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious with good sized portions, Menu could have been a bit more varied and the restaurant a bit warmer but we would certainly return. We were given a table that overlooked the Tay river rapids and were lucky enough to see some kayaking taking place. Absolutely... More
