Holidaying in the area we were craving some fresh Scottish seafood and heard about the seafood cabin. It was quite a drive but well worth it. Beautiful surroundings, some dogs, horses and deer just roaming around. A deer even came right up to our table!...More

This is simplicity done at its best. We stopped off here after a recommendation from a friend, and sat on a bench outside, in the sunshine, drinking lovely white wine and enjoying some beautiful fresh seafood. If you are travelling around this area of Scotland...More

We took the ferry from Arran to Cloanaig, then walked to Skipness Castle (about one hour). The Seafood Cabin provided the highlight of the outing. Having enjoyed a sharing platter, the environment and our appetites were such that we simply had to continue with a...More

Skipness is an amazing place. Go there on a nice day, see the castle and the chapel, walk on the beach... and then eat the seafood platter. Stupendous. And don't forget to say hello to Coco the deer.

Firstly let me make it perfectly clear that this review is nothing to do with the food. In fact I rate this five star and the seafood must stand comparison with the best in the UK. I had a truly memorable sea food platter washed...More

We were recommended this place to visit by the previous hotel we had just left. As you get off the ferry instead of turning left as most of the traffic does, turn right and after a mile or so you will see a road sign...More

Last Tuesday, we finally managed to go to the Skipness Seafood Cabin for lunch! Every year, we always forget and seem to arrive there on a Saturday, when they are closed. We'd expected crab sandwiches and smoked salmon, but what we found was so much...More

Description
Opening dates for 2016: 29th May - 30th September. Every day apart from Saturday! The Skipness Seafood Cabin is a seasonal, family run venue that prepares and sells locally sourced, fresh seafood dishes. It also provides a variety of homemade cakes and scones. The Cabin is set in the idyllic village of Skipness, which makes up for its removed, some may say isolated, location with beautiful scenery, easy walks, beaches, castles and stunning views of the Isle of Arran. The restaurant aims to provide an easy going relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and leaves well fed and satisfied! We look forward to seeing you soon.
