We would stop here for lunch sometimes and have to say it is just lovely traditional homely food as a buffet type service. So your lasagnes, chicken & ham pies, mash, vegetables comfort type food, my kind of eating. Would thoroughly recommend it if you want a filling lunch to keep you going throughout the day.

The hotel's restaurant offers good inn food which is freshly prepared and swiftly delivered. The wines by the quarter bottle offer good value, too.

The food was simply amazing, and though we were all full after the main course, we decided to get desserts... and didn't regret it! I'm still dreaming about this chocolate brownie :) Thanks for the perfect service & great food!

Last Sunday, 12th April we had a table for 4 booked for 7pm and arrived a few minutes early. We were taken to our table on time then waited until 7.20 for someone to take our drinks order. By 7.40 our food order was taken and by 8.10 first courses arrived. Overall service was very slow and two of us... More

Have previously eulogized about this place and made a point of returning recently when back in the area . Most things haven`t changed. The welcome was warm , the food of an excellent standard but boy has the service slowed up . We waited 30 mins for our mains to arrive (none of which required any complicated preparation ) That...
