My recent culinary experience was tantalisingly great The turkey was moist and the gravy left me wanting more . The staff are always efficient and friendly 5*

Group of 4 for evening meal. Pleasant surroundings and staff polite. Have been here in mid week when busier. Restaurant was not to full capacity and this may be due to the fact amount of food served a lot less in the vegetable part . Between 4 we had I bowl of potatoes i.e. 4 very tiny potatoes and 3... I was there for early lunch one Thursday afternoon. I actually can't remember what I ordered, but I do remember that I enjoyed it and made a note that if I was ever in the area again, I'd definitely go back.

Had one of the best lunches I've had in a long time here. Travelling with my mother, we stopped enroute back to Dublin for a bite to eat. Lovely and warm and welcoming, we both had the quiche...it was simply delicious and presentation was fab...quiche was so tasty but the side salad of fresh leaves with subtle dressing and coleslaw... Had a fabulous meal here last night - surroundings are so welcoming, staff very attentive without being intrusive, and so efficient........and the food was sensational, both in taste and presentation. I could not find fault with anything in the Bucks Head Inn and highly recommend to everyone. Could have stayed all night as the drinks sounded very moreish too.

The food is very tasty, the staff are very helpful and the décor is just the right mix of old pub cosy yet modern and clean. Worth a visit.

Had Saturday lunch here. Shared some Thai mussels and then moved onto Fish and Chips .All very good as usual with quiet ,efficient and unobtrusive service. We come here about twice a year because although the food is .good the menu very rarely changes and there is only one special Consequently more frequent visits would be disappointing.. However on the... More

Having used the Bucks Head for possibly the last 15 years and been very happy with the service , food and ambience my last two visits have been a great disappointment, On both visits we felt rushed at the end of the evening and it was still only 9 p.m One could see the staff wanted us out and they... Celebrating an anniversary, we enjoyed an excellent meal served with warmth and style. Love the artwork in the bar and the cosy feel of the whole venue. You can stay overnight next door at the Carriage House B&in - highly recommend you do!
