I like balloo ! they've done a great job with refurbishment and is a lovely place to meet for food , we have been going here for years , service is efficient , food is good though they seem to have a mixture of menu's which conflict with each other ! would really like to say I love it !... More

Three adults called for lunch. Choice of 3 menus (we felt too many menus for lunch time bistro), we opted for two courses for £14.95, was pretty reasonable for all of the hype we had heard. What was sat down in front of us was basic and sparse (as though something else should have dressed the plates) although the food... More

What a lovely night we had in Balloo House. Food was delicious and not over priced. We'd the chowder, chicken chorizo pasta, Thai curry, sticky toffee pudding, all beautiful! Staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service. Lovely atmosphere, Highly recommended and we can't wait to return!

Great pub-restaurant food in a lively local setting. Much loved by locals and visitors alike. Can get very lively at times but this just adds to the atmosphere. Upstairs is even better but much quieter and less rushed.

Food ok. Not a fan of triple cooked chips. Service ok. Nothing spectacular. Have been there before when things were much better.

Husband and I decided to call in here for lunch as we had got vouchers for Christmas. Lovely blazing fire greeted us, and then we were shown to our seats. We were given a sheet with a menu on it and another sheet with specials. Also another sheet with a set menu! We thought the prices were quite high considering... More

Myself and a friend had Sunday lunch at Balloo House on 15 January. First time I had been there in a couple of years. We both had mains and dessert. The main courses were "solid" but not exceptional. The desserts were excellent. Overall very satisfied with the food and we will certainly return again. That said we were both a... More
