My Husband ,Daughter and myself when for the first time to the loft today Sunday the 17th October, My husband and i had the Curry and my daughter Lasagne. We all enjoyed our meal and had Dessert each with bar drinks and hot drinks to...finish it was very reasonable. We will certainly visit again, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff were brilliant. All the covid restrictions were followed and the actual Hotel is so pretty inside and outMore

Phoned to make a booking for sunday lunch at The loft. On arrival found we found we weren't in the loft but the main hotel. One big large room with tables dotted around. There was a total lack of atmosphere in such a large room....I think the lunch itself was just ok. Seemed to have little taste but plenty of it but give me taste over quantity. But in fairness I'm not a huge carvery fan, but if they serv your starter and dessert why cant they serv your main course as well. We were being served by a lovely waitress. She even moved us to a better table as we were next to the door which was a bit drafty. Would like to thank her again.More

We visited today for a carvery and were directed into the Abbey suite. It was the function room where the tables were set up - strangely we almost booked our wedding here a few eyars back but the room was too big. This worked in...favour today as we gave a heads up that we had an infant and a young child in tow. There was plenty of room around our table and it didnt feel cramped at all. The starters and carvery mains were delicious. Nice choice of meats and tasty veg and gravy to go with it. I do think the staff deserve a mention as we gounf them very attentive but not too overbearing. We didn't feel rushed which is sadly too common in other establishments. All in all, a very pleasant visit and i'd have no reservations to return in the near future :)More

Fantastic roast dinner and desert delivered in time. The beef dinner I find brilliant and my wife being a vegetarian has two options as well.

Must admit that the main carvery meal was very good. The starter however was mediocre and the room too big. It was like being at a function not a cosy lunch with friends.

Over forty of us went for lunch. lovely meal but had to wait quite a while. Didn’t have any custard for desert but were given cream instead. Would recommend but perhaps not so many of us.
