We had 2 great meals at Catch a Fire during our week on the island. The place is cleaned up and sparkling after Hurricaine Matthews visit. Clearly a lot of work went into the place. Simply gorgeous setting, chic but comfortable atmosphere, designed with an artistic eye. The food was fantastic... esp coconut crusted grouper and Thai shrimp. Exceptional flavors... More

Stop by and met one of the owners working on the place due to be damaged by the last hurricane. It looks like it's going to be even better than the pictures before. Nothing else really like it on the island. I think he said it will be open towards the end of November.

Closed for repairs post hurricane. Sign on main road gave no indication the place was closed. Nearly broke the rental car's suspension on the dirt road.

On our recent trip to Great Exuma for a wedding, my husband and I snuck away for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant was apparently the best spot to see the sunset, so that sold us! We arrived just in time to capture some great photos of the sunset and then enjoyed a fantastic dinner. We loved that... More

We made a reservation for a large group and upon arrival there were no tables to accommodate us. Though the ladies there tried their best to put something together it was disappointing. The servers were great and the band was so refreshing. The food was just so so and overpriced. Not worth it in my opinion. We did manage to... More

Amazing sunsets over the sea with fabulous clouds. As most places to stay are on the other side of the island, this is a great place to watch the sun go down. Cocktails are reasonable (plus we got a second one free). Food is expensive but the ambience is worth it. Laid back live music a few nights a week... More

If you want a sunset over the water, this place is pretty and it is nice to hear some live music outside. The food was just average and overpriced, though, and the flies kind of ruined it for us. Sternos put out to control the flies made our group pour sweat... We were grateful for an iguana who showed up... More

Catch a Fire is a very bumpy, $50 round trip cab ridge from Georgetown. The setting is fantastic, our good and cocktails were very good and the service was excellent. It was beautiful watching the sun set and the water "catch a fire" from the reflection. However, once it was dark, we were totally consumed in swarms of mosquitoes, so... More

Took a taxi to watch the famous sunset and did not regret it! Even though you drive through a bumpy road to get there (short stretch though) the place is more upscale than many and they have a swimming pool for the patrons with restroom to shower and change. The food was amazing! I ordered the conch fritters and the... More
