A bit off the tourist path, Mary Ann's has a great reputation with the locals. We eat there every once in awhile, usually Sunday lunch. Their Bahamian style ribs or "steamed' pork chops are really good. Never had anything bad there?

Our favorite local restaurant in Grand Bahamas is Mary Ann's. The conch, snapper, and lobster are the best. The Bahamian sides are real local food and they are delicious. Our favorite dinner is the cracked conch with peas and rice, cole slaw, and plantains. Staff is very friendly and will bend over backwards to make your experience memorable. It is... More

This is one of the best places to find sheep tongue souse. I have taken my mother here several times as she loves to have sheep tongue souse. The portions are more than enough. You can have some for later and will not make you an official totter. The food and the service is great. The price is affordable. The... More

I picked up a flyer for this place while we were at the airport, not knowing where it was, but recognizing that the prices were better than we'd seen other places. It turns out it's nowhere near anywhere you'd be without a rental car, and not worth the cost of a cab to get you there and back, but if... More

Went yesterday for lunch. Ordered the fried Snapper and Peas & rice. Was a bit disappointed, The snapper was lightly fried, I mean barely. The peas & rice had onions and they did not say before hand this was going to be so. Was not impressed.

My sister had been raving about this place during our trip and I couldn't wait to go. It's very close to the airport so we stopped by before our flight. It was good to have a good home cooked meal served by a warm, friendly staff before the flight. I had the pork chops. They were so good I couldn't... More

What I like about this place is the fresh seafood. You ask for grouper, you get fresh grouper. Conch, lobster, curry, souse, and stew options. Service is great and staff very friendly.

I ate at Mary Ann's once and I will most certainly go again when I am in Freeport. It is located near the airport and offers delicious Bahamian dishes.
