We make a point to try homemade ice cream whenever it's around, so we were excited to give Scoops a try. Maybe we've been spoiled with great ice cream...? Seriously, save your money and head to the freezer at one of the little convenience stores on the island for something, anything else. It will be better. The ice cream here... More

Normally do not stop for ice cream due to all the over indulging while at St. John but I did and will go back again. Really good ice cream and friendly service. We were a group of 5 and everyone had to purchase ice cream after they noticed me eating it.

Although the scoops were not huge, the ice cream was fresh and delicious. The coconut was the best I have ever had. Chocolate chip, caramel, and chocolate (not dark) and the waffle cones were big hits. We were there late in the day and they had run out of painkiller ice cream which disappointed one in our group. It's not... More

We stopped after walking around Cruz Bay all day. The ice cream is homemade and the selections were great. We tried grasshopper, vanilla bean, and peanut butter. Its 5.00 a cup and you get 2 scoops. You can choose two flavors if you ask. There's a small sitting area right in front. It was cash only.

They have fantastic ice cream but at $7 per waffle cone it's a bit expenisve. We loved the chocolate banana and the grasshopper flavors and the waffle cones are definitely worth getting!

The waffle cones were fresh and the ice cream was dreamy. There is so much to choose from so it can be tough to narrow down your flavor. We also had a root beer float with root beer from Saint John Brewer. That was excellent.

Yes a little pricey for a cone of ice-cream, but oh so good!!!! The smell of the waffle cones alone will make you salivate! This spot is a hidden jem!!

Ask the cashier for which flavors are not available -- they sell out occasionally. The cashier is young and will sometimes socialize with the construction workers and other locals. Be patient; there's usually a queue. My mother loved the waffle cone with toasted coconut. Yummy chai flavored ice cream. Wish they had veggie smoothies available after 2pm. There is a... More

Good homemade ice cream and cone but you pay a decent price for them, four cones was a total of $28. Lots of flavors to choose from. All in all a good experience and worth the money,

Great ice cream and slushies!! Try the Baileys ice cream - wow fantastic! They had so many more flavors I wanted to try. Wish we would have gone back a few more times!

Description
St. John Scoops is the island's one and only place for homemade ices and creams. We make everything in-house and fresh every day! This means that our flavors are constantly changing, so what you see on the menu one day can be completely different the next day! We offer local fruit flavors like passion fruit, mango, and guava, along with old-time staples like strawberry and vanilla. We mix it up a bit by throwing in some local honey and lavender, or some St. John Brewer's Root Beer (yes, as an ice cream)! Don't worry, we also make some amazing chocolate, cookies & cream, and pistachio among the many other flavors on the rotation. Did we mention that we have something for just the big kids, too? That's right, rum raisin with real rum, painkiller ice cream, champagne sorbet, and the list does go on! When you walk by, you're sure to smell those fresh waffle cones being made...Nothing like a fresh scoop on a fresh cone, that's for sure! We are excited to offer vegan, superfood smoothies made with whole fresh frozen fruits (NO ICE) and an array of amazingly healthy additions to keep minds and bodies happy! Add some hemp or plant protein to make it a complete meal, and you won't feel so bad about all the bars you hit the night before. Virgin Island Coffee Roasters' Fair Trade Organic Sumatran Blend is served hot all day long for those in need of that caffeine buzz. We have lots of options for dairy-free and gluten-free guests, including sorbets and our yummy Slush Puppies.
