My husband is from a country neighboring turkey and the food, language etc is very similar. We stopped in for lunch and it's pretty damn authentic turkish food! My husband had the schwarma sandwich and I had the chicken kebab sandwich. Both were great. The...More

The food on the Provo is expensive so it was nice to find a place that was moderately priced with delicious food and decent beer and wine.

We went to Turks Kebab on our second night on the Island. We have two vegans out of the 5 of us, and there was plenty of options for all of us. The food was excellent, and a very casual setting.

You might miss this place on your way to your resort on Grace Bay Road, and it would be a shame because it has eats that shouldn't be missed. It's located on the right of Allegro Road shortly after the turn off from Leeward Hwy...More

Description
TURKS KEBAB, Doner kebab, literally "rotating kebab" in Turkish, is sliced lamb, beef or chicken, slowly roasted on a vertical rotating spit. The Middle Eastern shawarma, Mexican tacos al pastor and Greek gyros are all derived from the Turkish doner kebab which was invented in Bursa in the 19th century by a cook named Haci Iskender. Doner kebab is most popularly served in wrap and pita bread,...... As it is best... Known, with salad, but is also served in a dish with a salad and bread or French fries on the side, or used for Turkish pizzas called pide or "kebabpizza". Take-out doner kebab or shawarma restaurants are common in many parts of Europe. Doner kebab is popular in many European countries, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Like other ethnic foods brought by travellers, the kebab has become part of everyday cuisine in many countries around the globe.
