The Anchor and Den is located within the Marriott Hotel on Seven mile beach at 307 West Bay Road with fabulous views over the Caribbean and the stunning sunsets.
We were a party of 5 who went for the Sunday Brunch which is held every week between noon and 4pm for a fixed price of CI$ 75.
This might sound expensive for brunch at first sight - but it’s absolutely stunning value for money. On arrival we were seated in the restaurant and given a very nice gin cocktail (others are available). Our hostess introduced herself, her main task was to ensure that our glasses never ran out of Prosecco - and they never did.
It’s a buffet style meal and you browse the large and extensive buffet and help yourself. I could not think of any single item that was not available. There was everything from eggs (scrambled, boiled , benedict, etc ) to fabulous carved meats and poultry, salmon, trout, lobster, crabs, pancakes, crepes, - multiple chefs available to prepare your food and a first class sushi bar.
If you are a glutton then this is your place. If you like freshly prepared good food in moderate amounts it’s also for you. Pace yourself, there’s no rush.
Desserts were imaginative and delicious, there was a refrigerator with pre mixed cocktails in screw top bottles to help yourself, wine was available and there was a coffee station also available.
I think the 3 ladies in our party probably drank $75 worth of Prosecco each before you consider the food value.
Don’t plan on doing much for the rest of the day after your brunch though!

Stopped in for a Friday night dinner during our vacation in Grand Cayman. Our group of three adults enjoyed the delicious food and ambiance. It is a dressy casual environment of mainly adults. Our waiter, Submesh, took time to explain menu items, make drink suggestions, and answer our questions. He was attentive yet not intrusive making sure we were well taken care of. We had the seafood platter, superfood salad, shrimp & conch appetizer, and a branzino fish dinner. Everything tasted delicious. There was lively music and we enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend.

For my birthday, my family of 6 adults, 2 kids and 1 toddler went to Anchor and Den for breakfast. Our server, Mirna was lovely! The staff were warm and friendly.
From a food perspective, the portion sizes were fine.
The prices were definitely designed for visitors, so from a local perspective, these breakfast items don’t necessarily match up with the expected quality of ingredients /preparation one would expect at those price points. (We’re all bacon fans and everyone’s bacon was precooked, burnt, very thin, and flavorless)
There was a lot going on at are table, but the memory I have of our server, Mirna smiling, checking in on us was what brings the rating to a 4 out of 5 :)

Wish I could give it 0 stars! Our Christmas Eve dinner was ruined! We were excited to eat at Anchor & Den on Seven Mile Beach while we were vacationing in Grand Cayman. We heard wonderful things about it and we couldn't wait to try the wonderful food. We were shocked when we walked into the lobby of the hotel and heard this extremely LOUD "music". It was a kind of EDM (techno) DJ playing terrible, AWFUL music that absolutely grated on all of our nerves. My husband and I like many types of music and we were there with our kids (20 and 17 years old) who like a very wide variety of music as well. All of us hated it! We realized that the restaurant was actually off to the side of the lobby and was only separated by a half wall, so there was no getting away from that horrible "entertainment". Before we sat down, we asked if the DJ was going to be playing the whole night and the receptionist said yes. We wanted to leave immediately but it was Christmas Eve and there was no other nice restaurants we could just walk into and get seated. So we sat. While the food was delicious and our server, Aloyna, were both excellent, it was not a pleasant experience. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. I really need to compliment Aloyna as she was fantastic. She knew we wanted to have a quick dinner and she made sure we got out in a timely manner. But we will NEVER go back to that restaurant and might even stay away from the Marriott all together. It was such a poor judgement call to choose that DJ, especially on Christmas Eve.

Our experience was fantastic. It was a special dining experience for a birthday and anniversary , and the A&D excelled. Tuesday night had all menus available. They did a great job preparing a ceviche and grilled octopus for a series of allergies. The food is uniquely flavored in a way that perfectly blends together. The sushi rolls are awesome. The lobster quesadilla was great. We were surprised with a complimentary desert of chocolate cake for the table and even thought of our guest with the allergies and presented a wonderful fresh fruit bowl. Jasmine, our server, was perfect and paid attention to every detail. She was professional and friendly which added to our experience. Our after dinner drinks were expertly prepared by Sebastian. The A&D has the most amazing mixed drink combinations I’ve ever seen. 5 Stars all around.

Anchor & Den has it all. Amazing food with even better service! They are especially accommodating to people with food allergies making sure they have the best experience possible with many options available. One of their staff members, Alyona, was a stand out for us as well! She was so sweet and really made sure that our experience was amazing. Cant beat their breakfast or dinner menus either.

We used our vouchers from check-in at the hotel to eat at the breakfast buffet. There are lots of hot and cold options, and plenty of fruit. They even brought disposable cups with lids to take coffee when the meal was finished.

It had been a few years since we had been to Grand Cayman. Last time we were there we stayed at the Marriott and loved both the food and service at all of their restaurants, including Anchor & Den. This time, we stayed with my parents in the condos next door, and wanted to eat at the Marriott restaurants again, but wondered if the food and service would be as good as we remembered. And it was!!! We ended up eating there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner multiple times during our one-week stay (Feb 28 - Mar 7) because everything was awesome. We were so impressed by the staff — again — and how they went out of their way and above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Raj, Mary Ann, and RJ were our favorites!!! Lobster night on Wednesday was so fun (loved the constant flow of champagne) and we had the best homemade yogurt (raspberry and mango) we’ve ever tasted for breakfast. We plan to go back with our teenage kids again soon and we will be staying at the Marriott and dining there!!!

We had lunch and breakfast here almost everyday of our stay at the Marriott. Naga's customer service was 5 star! He spotted us a million miles away and would greet us with the biggest smile. He genuinely cared about us having the most amazing dining experience every time. He really understands a vacation resort dining experience is very different from a regular Saturday night experience back in your hometown. We appreciated his attention to detail and his warm greeting every time that we saw him.

Another lovely breakfast at the Marriott Anchor and Den. Celine is the sweetest and delivers the most attentive service. She ensures the our order is perfectly executed as my littles are a bit extra😅 Chef Ravi creates the most incredible palate pleasers.

We went for the Event - CRAWFORD MARKET & it was a very special experience for us !
Got to taste really good Indian food after so many months .
The Tala hua counter, chaat counter and the deserts were the best !!! The chickn tikka was mouthwatering 😋
We received great service from start to end . We were 14 people on the table & manager Yogesh & Abi were so attentive & friendly to all of us !
Our server was Daniele and he took great care of the dietary needs of the 4 kids & the rest of the people in the group.
It was pleasant to talk to Chef Adi .
We would love to come back for another Indian food festival !

Walking in to the Marriott, I was shocked to see the restaurant was in the middle of their lobby. The wait staff was forced to wear berets and neckerchiefs…handing out three separate menus (each with their own drinks, foods and desserts) - sushi, Spanish and “traditional” American. The “olive oil” on the table was canola oil with herbs put inside to make it look authentic. We ordered the charcuterie board (which was okay), red snapper ceviche which was an actual joke, and the seafood platter which tasted like it came from Costco. Despite being on an island there wasn’t a single piece of fresh fish in the joint. Not to mention they brought out Everything we ordered all at once. No coursing or even staggering. The waiter only spoke to my husband “sir, are you done” and didn’t acknowledge me at all (I’m sure this was a cultural thing for him, but that’s no excuse in the service industry). For Two of us the bill was $225 (and we didn’t drink alcohol or have dessert). Genuinely, stay away from this place at all costs…try mrs pipers, Tilly’s or brassiere instead.

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary in the Cayman Islands and stayed at a different hotel than the Marriott but we read the reviews and decided to eat breakfast at Anchor & Den. Wow! A perfect espresso, and the jerk chicken hash was prepared to perfection four straight times, even with our considerable dietary restrictions.
Moreover, I'd like to recognize the server Celine for her own exceptional customer service, grace, and amazing personality! Celine was probably one of the kindest, most competent servers we have experienced in our lives and she deserves every accolade that Marriott can bestow.
Everyone, if you are in the Caymans, please give Anchor & Den a try for breakfast! I think you'll be hard pressed to find anything finer!

I have eaten at the Marriott on Seven Mile several times as I spend a month there every year. I have always been very impressed with the quality of the service and food. Their Sunday Brunch is wonderful with so so many options every diet in your family. We have a vegetarian and three Celiacs ..... so we are not an easy family. Now with that being said we had a birthday is year while we were all there and we ordered a cake for one of our dear celiac members. Marie made the MOST DELICIOUS cake.not only did it look gorgeous, with strawberry icing and edible chocolate flowers, it tasted amazing. Trust me I know how hard it is to bake a gluten free anything and have it look good, not crumble, and taste like a regular baked good. I know, I’ve been trying for years. And years. And I’ve purchased hundreds...... nothing has ever been this good. So thank you Marriott and especially Marie. You made my daughter’s day. Marie again....it was beyond delicious and beautiful.
