I was with a group of 16 who motor boated to this restaurant. All of us felt the food was good and the atmosphere of porch on an island fun. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. When I suddenly fainted from ? of...an onrush of alcohol to my 73 year old brain from a Rum runner drink, the staff took over. They got me in a chair, had cold towels on my head and neck, my feet elevated and didn’t complain when I threw up over everything!! They were ready to call an ambulance, but I was fine after that.More

Umm, an enigma. Some of the staff were great, the manager despite requests by us (and the table next to us) wanted to continually leave the screen door open to let mosquitos in and eat us alive.More

Again, I'm sorry if you were bothered by mosquitoes during your dining experience here at Rum Point Club. Some days, the bugs are more difficult to deal with than other days. That door is our entrance/exit for our beachfront/waterfront dining. We do not keep that...More

I hated Rum Point for the aforementioned reasons. So busy, really tacky, lots of 'don't do this, don't do that' notices. Indifferent staff. The only reason I would go is for the snorkelling which is great, then, do yourself a favour and walk the mile...to Kaibo, much classier, better food and ambience.More

We stayed on 7 mile beach, so took the boat from Camana Bay over to Rum Point. The boat trip was only $10/person, and they make reservations for you for dinner, and take you back to Camana Bay afterwards. Rum Point is beautiful and the...dinner was great. A very memorable evening. Highly recommend the seafood hot pot!More

Fantastic meal! After reading the mixed reviews of the Club at Rum Point we were reluctant to try it. While looking at the posted menu one afternoon the manager came by and said they had a vegetarian menu and could accommodate my vegan daughter. Not...only did they but Chef John came to our table that night and designed a dish with my daughter that she could enjoy. I had a cream of parsnip soup that was a delicious work of art. The pumpkin ravioli was amazing. My daughter loved her Wahoo. Simply one of the best meals I’ve ever had on island. Service was attentive and very friendly.More

We ate here on a day that our boat tour dropped us off for lunch. I probably wouldn't have chosen to eat here unless I was at Rum point and hungry. The atmosphere is nice. It's a very casual dining place with colorful picnic tables...right on the beach. You really can't beat that for eating out. The service was quite slow, though. Maybe they just get inundated with people at certain times but we only had a few families on our tour so it seemed like a pretty normal flow of people. It took over 20 minutes for a waiter to come and order our food and it wasn't much faster getting food out to our table. Closing out our check did go a bit more quickly, though, to be fair. The food wasn't much to write home about. It's a pretty simple menu and the tastes matched that. The menu describes their food like it is going to be full of Cayman flavors but when you get the food, it tastes like they don't even know what salt and pepper are. It's pretty bland and unexciting. I definitely don't plan to eat here again. Even if I went on a tour that brought me to lunch at Rum Point again,I'd just eat before coming or bring a sandwich with me. With the prices they charge, you're much better off just waiting and eating at so many of the other good restaurants on the island.More

We were an extended family of seven and had a lovely evening at Rum Point Club. Food, service, and setting all exceeded expectations. Spent less here than at Upstairs Kaibo down the street and it was a much more enjoyable evening. You won't regret the...$$$ you spend here. All of Cayman dining seems a bit overpriced as compared to say Turks, but having said that, Rum point was more in line with our expectations for the price of the meal. Setting and service top notch as well. Highly recommend.More

Based upon a guide book recommendation, I booked our family of four to take a boat from Georgetown to Rump Point for dinner at the Rum Point Club Restaurant. The ride over was fine and provided pretty views. We had chosen the 6:20pm seating. We...walked around a bit and arrived on time to be seated. We were given a table overlooking the water on what appeared to be a relatively slow evening. Eighteen minutes after being seated (I checked) we STILL had not been approached by any employee of the restaurant. The manager was making small talk with a couple at a table near us telling them he had a night off in a couple of days and they should all get drinks together. Great idea! How about some drinks for our table??? Nothing. I finally got the attention of a server and after some discussion between him and another server, they decided he was going to serve us. I had the seafood pot and it was fine. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and didn’t like it at all. My son ordered the Filet and asked that be cooked “Medium.” After much delay it arrived and was practically still alive. Totally bloody — rare at best. He wanted to send it back and so we waited (probably ten minutes) before our server re-appeared. We asked him to take it back and fix it. He said he would. Later he came by to say that he had taken it off the bill — a nice gesture. But, wait for it, NO NEW STEAK arrived. He thought since my son didn’t like the steak, they just wouldn’t give him one. So, my son didn’t have dinner. Amazing. I’m sure this place stays open by people making the trip to Rum Point. Don’t. Save your money. Skip the trip and the restaurant. It is an absolute disaster.More

What a terrible restaurant! Our waitress was extremely rude and condescending, the food took over an hour and a half to get to us and then when it came it was terrible! The $40 filet comes with about a tablespoon of mashed potatoes and 4...little green beans. The vegan, vegetable curry was flavorless. How you make a curry flavorless I will never know?! The only good thing was the group liked the mudslides.More

We did not do the Catamaran cruise, we showed up afterward once we were finished the bio tour. So, I don't know what they serve for the CI dinner.
