This is a lovely fun place to hang out and taste rum. The service is wonderful. Bartenders gave us free rum tastings to find the one we liked the best. The food, however is heavy and mediocre. Almost everything is drenched in sauce that is...too sweet and gooey. It was hard to find something not fried either. I get that this type of food lends itself to that, but I recommend going for a cocktail and some very select nibbles. Avoid the chicken coconut curry especially. Ribs were great but too much sweet sauce.More

Loved our dining experience from start to finish at this restaurant. The view is beautiful, we arrived an hour beifore our reservation and had drinks and sat on couches looking at the gorgeous setting. The food was excellent and was fairly priced. We will definitely...be back.More

Awesome place tucked away. Great views. Amazing food really different fusion. Awesome setting cool chairs at bar. Service was great. Try the Thai lemonade drink was excellent, the Bang Bang shrimp are a bit spicy but so good! Also fried rice was tasty. The Boa...buns were great too. We were there for early dinner so no DJ but great feel yo it.More

Always an excellent meal and great service. The staff at Cocomaya will make you feel like family. See Shamin and Carlos at the bar for a good laugh and a great cocktail!

We always visit Coco Maya at least once on our trips. As always we had a very fun evening. We reserved the semi-private deck for dining which was worth it. I felt the service was better here. The bao buns needed something pickled but we...enjoyed everything as usual. Cocktails are always done well here.More

CocoMaya was at the top of my list for restaurants to visit in the BVI. First off, the location and atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome. It is beautifully laid out on the beach, with games, fire pits, etc and there was a live DJ...on a packed Tuesday night. It felt like it was the place to be for all ages. Service was also top notch, which is something that is hit or miss in the BVI. Unfortunately the food and drinks did not live up to the hype. Most of the dishes were average. Sushi rice was gummy and not flavored well, which was very disappointing. Our medium rare steak was cooked medium well. Drinks also lacked flavor and seemed watered down. If you live in a big city like NYC, a typical Asian fusion restaurant would be superior in both food and drinks. Even after all this however I would still recommend CocoMaya to anyone visiting the BVI. The energy and ambiance here is hard to beat and should be experienced at least once. 3.5 rounded to 4.More

I couldn't love this restaurant more. It has the best ambiance and incredible food. My favorite part is the swings at the bar and the fire pits. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant immediately.

We ate at Coco Maya three times while staying on VG and it was brilliant each time. The venue and setting offer outstanding views of the sunset. The chefs have produced a varied and interesting menu, making choices difficult and food envy a likely event...on your table. Bar staff can rustle up some funky cocktails and when we visited they had a resident DJ who made the atmosphere really enjoyable.More

Beautiful restaurant in the most stunning setting - definitely an experience. If we didn’t have the kids with us, we probably would have hung out out all night. Food was OK. A few recommendations to turn some of the dishes we had from OK to...superb: - Pork bao buns: could use much less sauce and a bit more acid, more pickled veggies - Thai crunchy salad: peanut dressing was overwhelmingly pasty in texture so the salad was not very refreshing; less peanut + more lime juice and a dash of fish sauce would make a huge difference - Pad Thai: this was inedible for us as the noodles were way overcooked to the point of being mushy. Easy fix. Other than that, would recommend the Cocomaya experience to any visitor to the island.More

My family had two great meals here! The food was delicious and so were the drinks. All the servers were friendly and helpful. They even had a full vegan menu which my sisters loved!

When traveling with my family we always try to find places that accommodate all of our dietary needs while also giving us a great experience in our destinations. You could imagine how excited my sisters were to find that this place had an entire vegan...menu for them! We all thought our food was so great our first time so we reserved another dinner night on the adorable stage overlooking the water. The whole vibe at this place was awesome. The lighting, the beachfront, the fancy cocktails, food presentation, the music, the smores at the fire pit. The service was great and the food was even better! Highly recommend!More

My wife and I ate dinner here and enjoyed a beautiful sunset at this west-facing ocean front restaurant. The atmosphere is modern and caters to vacationers, and there are plenty of good options on the menu. Many of the dishes are tapas style, which allows...a party to try many of the menu items.More

A lot of people anchor is st thomas bay or dingy in. You can also anchor in front of the old chateau or Fischer’s cove. Please note. The reef is not marked currently. Do take care.

Hello, you cannot anchor right in front of the restaurant. You will be very close from The Baths, our suggestion is to take a taxi, it is very shallow to use the dinghy. There is a dock next to CocoMaya, Mermaid's, but it is... More

Yes. Our friendly neighbors at Dockside have a dock. They charge $2 per person to use. It is next door. Not advisable in a ground swell. Always check weather charts first.
