we had such there and it was extremely tasty. My wife was a bit concerned, thinking it would be extremely spicy but it was not. Tasty, but not so spicy that one doesn't taste the real food. Prices are also very reasonable, actually, by our standards, low.

Run by three sisters they have a menu that is guaranteed to be local. They are located on the main highway between Marigot Bay and Castries. All of the local tourists industry workers stop here to grab a bite to eat. In fact while we were eating we saw some local guy pick up food and I saw the same... More

My wife and I stopped at La Monique at the suggestion of our resort's (Ti Kaye Village) driver (Andrew). The atmosphere was incredible with open air dining, friendly people, and a gorgeous view. It is a local favorite with scarcely any tourists. The owner was so friendly and Andrew told us her husband is a ranking police officer in town... More

We stopped here at the advice of our tour guide. The food was fantastic. We paid about $8-$10 per plate. It is a no frills place on the side of a Mountain. It was open air and there were several locals that had stopped to eat. That is usually a great sign. I had the Chicken legs, rice, beans dumpling,... More

My boyfriend and I made the adventurous trek, driving from Soufriere to Castries to find a restaurant with local flair. We found exactly what we were looking for here. We rolled in very late at 9:30pm and Monique herself greeted us warmly. There was no one else in the restaurant but she welcomed us in. She recited three options for... More

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in St Lucia recently and stopped in for lunch because we were told it was decent and affordable. They served it buffet style for lunch. I had the pork chop and my husband had the shrimp, which they prepared fresh for him. Both plates were loaded up with rice, noodles, your choice... More

During a tour of the Castries area, we started getting hungry and told our tour guide that we would like to eat local food--nothing fancy. He stopped at this restaurant nestled among the hills near Marigot Bay. We were the only patrons there at the time. The food was laid out buffet style with the exception that we selected what... My girlfriend and I ate here three times during a recent stay at nearby Ti'Kaye Village resort in Anse Cochon. This restaurant is close by the turnoff for Marigot Bay on the Castries-Soufreire highway, so if you are staying in that area, by all means don't miss it. We decided to eat there after seeing a crowd of locals during... More
