This is the fifth or sixth time we have been to Isola over the last six years. Once again our meal was excellent. The service is attentive, the seafood always fresh, the pastas superb, the drinks/wine list excellent and the menu extensive. The atmosphere is upscale. We appreciate that this restaurants consistent high level year after year. We always our... More

We always visit L'Isola when in St. Barth. The extensive Italian menu is excellent. This is one of a few restaurants in St. Barth that is entirely indoors, which is great if you're trying to avoid mosquitoes! I would say L'Isola is on the pricier side, but then again, you are in St. Barth where pricey is the norm.

I loved the staff. I may sound like a school girl, but they're handsome, kind and funny. The food is amazing! It's as good as food in Italy. The restaurant is chic and romantic. Must Go!!!

We live in the New York metro area so we have our share of delicious Italian food. We were a little hesitant to go to an Italian restaurant on an island as previous experiences had taught us there's no place like home. Well, I am glad we took the chance. The food was delicious!!! My husband and I shared the... More

well i know everyone raves about the place- but i didn't catch the vibe - maybe i ordered the wrong dishes? the restaurant is crowded- the service was fine- i wouldn't say it was special- for example at Tamarind where multiple people came over and thanked us for coming at the end of the meal- but it was quick and... We shared four courses, the artichokes, which were amazing, a beautiful salad, a mushroom fettuccine - which was plate licking delicious (worth every calorie), and the local fish special, a sea bass. The fish was a little dry, but everything else was outstanding. The wine list is well thought out, with excellent selections at every price point. Although always packed,... More

Well the atmosphere feels more like NYC than St barts, and the service is a bit know it all Italians, loud and arrogant servers, but the food is excellent. I can't argue with the food. The prices are high, very very high. If I want to spend 500 euro on a dinner I will return. The food is solid.

One of the restaurant icons in St. Barth, keeps serving very good and creative Italian food. However, the restaurant acoustics is very poor. Impossible to keep a conversation when the restaurant is full. Also, since the waiting area is minimal and around a small bar, the tables near it are "invaded" by people waiting for the their tables - you... More

If you just can’t take any more of this island paradise vibe and are pining for New York, go to this uber-popular place in Gustavia. Once inside, you could be on the Upper East Side, or for that matter in almost any high-end Italian restaurant in any major city in the States. Hopelessly loud and full of Americans who seem... An authentic Italian restaurant (translation: it's no Olive Garden). Well thought out menu, excellent wine list with extensive selections of Piedmontese wines. I had a superb carpaccio inventively served in a hollowed out melon. Excellent cotoletto Milanese (elephant ear) topped with arugula salad. Veal is uniformly superb and the lobster ravioli is second to none. A must when on the... More
