Our family of six enjoyed Scout's on our first night on Saba, at the suggestion of our taxi driver, Rodney. Great seafood! Scout's is a lively nightspot.

The bartenders at night were great. We had an American waitress during the day that was ...well....terrible. We asked what some of the Dutch items where and her response was...I'm not Dutch, I don't know...but I don't really like Dutch food. We started to give her our orders and the second person was ordering....she stated...oh wait...I need to write this... More

Dear Banderella, thank you very much for this review. I know we are not looking good with this waitress. She is pretty new and this attitude and service are not what we are aiming for. It also reflects very bad on all our other employees who are very committed and hard working. Please accept my apologies. We will have a... More

This is the best restaurant on the island of Saba. We often visit Saba and this is where we want to eat. Great food, fascinating view and good service. When I'm on Saba, you'll find me there. Antonio Janga

One of my favorite places to hang out when here. Though I prefer the food at a couple of other close by places. I really enjoy the karaoke nights here though. Nice place to have a drink even on a quieter night. Try to get a table on the back deck, it has the best view and breeze.

We stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the bar/restaurant too. We arrived on Friday and got lucky enough to be joining the sabaoke evening. We actually found out that there are people living on the island(so quiet on the streets!!) it was a fun night and a group of locals also took us to guidos for an after;-). We enjoyed... More

Being that I'm one of the lucky few who get to call Saba home, I have the opportunity to write reviews based upon long-term experience...not just what I experienced on a day trip or one week holiday. As a resident of this beautiful island, I can honestly say that no place offers more variety in entertainment and dining options than... More

Next time you stay at Scout's Place I strongly recommend the Caribbean Breakfast. The johhny cakes are big, fluffy and delicious. The Salt fish/cod fish is well prepared and very tasty.

Thank you Makeba. I remember last time you came we were out of Johnny cakes and I told the kitchen ladies to make more since they became one of our hot sellers. Daily Sabans and other guests come and get Johnny cakes. We're very proud that we can serve a real Saba dish and that we are one of the... More

I have stayed a couple of times this year at this hotel. I love it and I felt at home both times. They remembered my face also and were very friendly to me when answering my questions. I don't think I would stay anywhere else on Saba anymore. This has become my home when I'm there! The breakfast was great!... More

Dear Truusje, this is so nice. Frankly this is what we always wanted when we took over Scout's Place 16 years ago, that our visitors coming to Scout's Place and Saba in general feel like home. Great compliment to our staff as well, they work really hard to make it happen and we are glad to have them working for... More

I was disappointed because they ran out of curried goat. My husband had mahi mahi which was excellent! I had the curried chicken- OK but mushy. We ended up there several times during our trip because they were close and they were OPEN! (a lot of places close early or take spontaneous days off)

Dear Lola, sorry that we didn't have any goat stew. We are one of a few if not the only place on Saba that served curry goat on a regular basis. Our local and Caribbean chefs are masters in making the stew (and more Caribbean specialties). We depend on local "hunters", means the owners of the goats to bring the... More
