Took forever to get food but the hotel staff recommended it. They're style is avoidance rather than letting the customers know the kitchen is backed up. They kept having more people come in and get seated when they should have just told them it would be a while. Several people including large groups left because of the long wait without... More

Again tried to immerse ourselves in Puerto Rican food for dinner by trying Cafe Angel but found ourselves overall disappointed. Very average food with little flavor. I tried their shrimp rice/gumbo and to me it tasted like chicken flavored Rice a Roni with a few shrimp thrown in.

We were "recruited" out of the line from Pinky's which was our original destination. We should have stuck with our instinct, but we were swayed by the rather jovial loosey goosey Guy who worked in the restaurant. He assured us that breakfast would take 10 minutes. We sat and waited and waited and waited before anyone brought us a menu... More

Came for breakfast nearly one hour for coffee, omelette and pancakes. Food was decent, nearly $30 for a light breakfast was a bit much.

Dinner here was terrific. Showed up for breakfast at 10:45 on Saturday morning. Ordered a round of waters for the table.... took an hour to get four waters. Our waiter Danny seemed stoned. We had an order of pancakes, one egg with bacon and two orders of eggs with bacon and pancakes. Everything came out cold. I ordered a mimosa... More

It doesn't look like much from the street, especially with the construction on ashford, but it's worth a visit for sure! We ordered the lunch special that day, which I think was paella (I didn't hear what he called it but he pointed at another table which had ordered it). It was huge. It looked amazing so we ordered it... More

Been going to Andel's for over 20 years. My favorite place to eat on the island. Family run, great location at a low price. Favorites is the grouper, and the combination plater. Best hot sauces around. A well priced local food restaurant.

We were recommended Cafe Angel by our hotel, within walking distance and I'm glad we went! Not everyone in our group were adventurous eaters, so some were nervous about authentic cuisine. Staff were very friendly upon arrival, not scared away by our tourist group of 10. Had bread and hot sauce for an appetizer and Mofongo for a main course.... More

Had dinner here and it was excellent! Waiter was helpful and friendly and the food was amazing, especially for the price. I had the pork mofongo and my fiancée had fried chicken with beans and rice. For dessert, we shared the fried cheesecake, which I highly recommend! It was absolutely delicious! This will definitely be a regular stop for us... More
