This place was awesome it was, inexpensive and tasty. It is diner style and extremely busy, but worth the visit. We had lunch and breakfast and some of their inhouse coffee cakes. 4 people breakfast was $25 and lunch was $35.

Delicious lunch for around $9-13. Skirt steak, rice and beans and fried sweet plantains for $11... Can't beat it. Especially considering the awesome location in the city.

Mofongo was great. Plenty of authentic PR foods at very reasonable prices. Get there early cause this place fills up when people get off the cruise ships. They have really good home made sauces. Coffee was real good along with fresh squeezed orange juice. Went back several times and will go back next time we are in Old San Juan

This is a breakfast and lunch place on a narrow cobblestone side street off busy Calle Fortaleza in the old city. So when you open the dark wood doors, you don't expect a serpentine formica lunch counter with sky blue vinyl seats running the whole length of a brightly lit room. The customers are mostly locals - young, old, blue... More

Sweet bread with bacon and cheddar cheese was awesome. Locals are very friendly and local police frequent the restaurant for breakfast.

Very good food, fast service and reasonable prices. A good alternative while visiting Old San Juan. The ham omelet is very tasty and is serve with toast bread. The coffee is traditional puertorrican coffee, a must in order to enjoy coffee, as it should be!

PR onion steak is great, Insiders know about the 'hot sauce' .. mustard color and i believe it has some curry in but man it is awesome...secret spices that they wont tell you whats in... More

This is a place where you sit at the counter with the locals and eat inexpensive breakfast. I had a ham omelet, OJ and coffee, my husband had fried eggs, ham, toast and coffee and our bill with tax was $14.50. The food was no-frills delicious. The service was efficient. Try the local hot sauce the guy puts in front... More
