This café was recommended to us by our tour bus driver. This café has seating outside & inside, however seating is limited and they stayed busy/packed the entire time we were there. We were seated inside at a table for 4 at the back of...More

After roaming the streets of Old San Juan look for a place to have dinner, we came upon this small, unpretentious restaurant, which turned out to be a real find! They serve good, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, the portions are generous and the prices are...More

Best Mojitos sweet but not overly. Bartender friendly and attentive. Beef steak and onions with rice, beans and plantains excellent. Enjoyed the ceviches. Good stop while exploring Old San Juan

This is our second visit to Café Puerto Rico and it did not disappoint. The Mofongo is so flavorful and you can have it made with plantain, yucca or sweet plantain or mixed. The portion sizes are perfect for lunch or dinner and the service...More

This cafe had amazing food, cocktails, and waitstaff. Authentic puerto rican food- we had local cheese, steak and chicken mufangos and sangria. Reasonably priced and superb! The staff was so, so nice and explained the menu to us in detail.

I had the yucca mofongo with grouper and the Creole sauce (not spicy, tomato based). It came with rice and a small salad. It was amazing! For dessert, my friend and I shared a guava flan, it was heavenly. Great place with great service!!!

Enjoyed a great dinner at the bar and was served a very delicious Mofongo with shrimp. Very attentive bartender and group at Cafe Puerto Rico, in Old San Juan.

Reasonably priced local food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Centrally located. Went here for the Mofongo and it didn't disappoint - very tasty and filling. The drinks we tried we very good too - Sangria and their specialty drink.

On recommendations of others we trekked into town for this restaurant. We had viewed the menu online and noticed a couple of octopus dishes. So we ordered the octopus salad and the grilled octopus. Disappointment, NO octopus although it was on the menu. Apparently they...More

Good place to get a few drinks. The staff was nice and the drinks were cold. It was a good place to start and end at Old San Juan

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
I am checking in at the end of February(2015) to celebrate my anniversary. I had a few questions about our stay that I wasn't able to find out online. 1. Do you have an adults only pool? 2. What are the pool hours? 3. Is it hard to get a lounge chair pool/beach if you are a late riser(9-10 AM)? I have read other reviews that say you need to claim your chair by 8am. 4. What is the cost of the airport shuttle and when should we book it if we decide to go that route? 5. We booked the all-inclusive. How does that work? do we get a bracelet or just bill to our room and then its removed at checkout?
