Nice drinks and food. Has the look and feel of the real thing with real Puerto Rican costumers. Be warned that the place is 95% filled with tourists all with the latest copy of Lonely Planet in their hands. Recommended nevertheless.

It's always a good day when the sun is out and is cool outside but it's a great day when the food is hot and smells great and taste even better, great old school food with great old school service, so great had to do it twice in one sitting.

The Mallorca sandwich was great, The restraint was packed on Good Friday but the line moved very fast.

Easy to find, those used to bling bling might pass it up, a big mistake not to stop in here. Whether coffee or cocoa, sandwich or pastry (all home made with love and pride), don't miss the cheese flan. It is 'the best' you'll likely find anywhere in this world. Enjoy! Fwiw, I hope they never change a thing!

This little find was by chance. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but food and service are topnotch. The waitstaff wear vests and bow ties with a friendly smile. It isn't your normal tourist spot. The local people were all around us, including several law enforcement officers so you know it is a great place!

One of the few places in Old San Juan that opens for early breakfast on a Sunday. By 8am it was packed with church goers, and I was lucky to get the last available table. Saying that, the service was fast, and the mallorca (toasted sandwich with icing sugar) was unusual and delicious. An interesting and authentic spot.

Exactly what we were looking for! Great breakfast sandwiches. Of course, I had me a Cubano sandwich & it was absolutely delicious. The pastries were fresh every time we went: the guava & cheese, and the chicken ones. The coffee was always on the money! They make freshly squeezed orange juice😍

We had several recommendations to try the Mallorcas at the Cafeteria Mallorca. So glad we finally went. Very tasty; an almost flat, flaky pastery with fried egg, ham and cheese with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. I wish the Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans would provide an option to serve their begniets with ham, egg and cheese like this. Would... More
