Place was amazing but crazy crowded busy, a typical tourist trap wrapped around a gorgeous location with some crazy divers to watch!

We took a sunset cruise here and decided to stay and take a cab back instead of re-boarding our catamaran. We were seated quickly and the food was great and reasonable. The sunset was exquisite. Watching the cliff jumpers and divers was great dinner entertainment.

We went for one day on our anniversary and we loved it. They had a live band and people were dancing, eating, drinking and it had a great feel happy vibe! Also plenty of people young and old cliff jumping!

Not sure what all the hype is about? Just another bar with mediocre food. They ask us to contribute $20 so that the cliff divers would jump. We declined!

Awesome vibe and lots of people, but still plenty of room to watch my friends jump. Be careful of wet and slippery rock steps. Right after sunset a huge crowd of people left, possibly due to tour bus. Only complaint- My friends waited over an...More

Came here twice during our stay. Now it's super duper crowded. It's super duper touristy. But it's AWESOME! I mean we jumped off the smaller cliffs so many times while there. And enjoyed watching the professional divers jump off the dizzyingly high dive spots. The...More

OUR STORY BEGINS with the opening of Rick's Cafe by its founder, Richard Hershman, in April 1974. At the time, Negril was a sleepy fishing village with little development. It lacked many modern amenities such as electricity, telephone and hot running water. Our beautiful little cliffside location was originally owned by a local doctor, the son of the first Governor General of independent Jamaica.

RICK’S CAFE was the first public bar and restaurant of its type on the West End Cliffs, offering an alternative to Negril's majestic seven mile beach. From the beginning, Rick's Cafe boasted an unrivaled view of the sunset from its naturally formed cliffs. Over the years, visitors and locals alike have designated Rick's Cafe as Negril's premier gathering spot and our sunsets have become a Jamaican tradition.
