We had a very enjoyable meal. The place was very quiet especially as it was a Friday evening.
We enjoyed the food and the drinks served in ice cold glasses was a nice touch.
Our only gripe was restaurant was very cold but staff did their best to adjust this.
There was definately more staff than customers but maybe it gets busier later although we left at around 21.30.
Lovely staff and nice place.

We were on the hunt for the best oxtail in the area. A hotel staff member recommended The Pelican, which about 4 other people also recommended. It was about a 5 minutes walk from the S Hotel and it did not disappoint! The oxtail was everything I dreamed of lol. The mango habanero wings were good too!.

I was told prior to visiting Jamaica that i had to come here. Its been open forever, and specialises in local food, well prepared. There is also a nice indoor airconditioned bar next door.

I have loved this restaurant for years but since covid, it has gone downhill.
No more quick service with roll and butter plus water served immediately. In fact no more roll and butter.
The service is slow and when we ordered sundaes, all we were served was ice cream with a sauce.
The food is ok but it seems like there must be new management.
Very disappointing.

Did not like the food at all. I ordered a vegetarian meal of jerk tofu for carryout and received a tasteless and watery curry tofu. The rice was bland and the vegetables were skimpy and soggy! I initially didn't want the rice and asked to switch for plantain instead and they were MOST UNACCOMMODATING! When I got back to the hotel, my daughter and I ended up throwing most of the food in the trash. If I every visit Jamaica again, I will not eat there!

Average food, average service and definitely pour settings. Everything we order taste cheap except the Long Island ice tea. It took forever to get our order and then they kept forgetting things. I would/could not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great Jamaican culinary experience.

Great locally owned sit down dining establishment. One of the better independent jamaican owned restaurants to eat in Mobay

We read all the reviews of The Pelican Grill and went with three impressions - very expensive, good food, poor decor. The food was good - the other two impressions were wrong. The prices were actually very reasonable.. We had an appetizer, two soups, and two entree's and the entire bill for dinner was $41 USD. The Jerk chicken was great. The local Achee / Codfish appetizer was wonderful. The decor is monochromatic brown - but there is a lot of natural wood and other texture and I did not think it looked cheap at all. The service was great. Located centrally on the hip strip.

This is one of the best places in Mobay to eat. Its not cheap but its got a wide variety of food to pick from, We go there at least one when in Mobay, my wife likes it so that says it all. Service can be up and down sometimes but its a nice place to go.

The breakfast (ackee & codfish) was simply delicious and the service was attentive. I ordered for takeout but would absolutely return for dine-in.

The Pelican is along the strip. It has decent Jamaican cuisine and the prices are not bad. The service was also pretty good.
