Most of the reviews were so glowing that we tried Marguerites the first night in Mobay. They are supposedly noted for their Ceasar salad. It barely rated a C in our book. I ordered mussels, and they were so minuscule; about the size of a large pea. The prices are steep. We don't mind spending the money if the quality matches. In this case, it does not. The one good thing I can say is that the service staff is excellent.

Party of 16 we looked at this place being one of the few places open for Christmas in Jamaica. My expectations was low first and foremost after reading the reviews. I wanted to really enjoy the food here but it was disgusting. My 14 year old even agreed!!! We will never dine here again Terrible Terrible food and they over charge for the quality! Crab cakes tastes like potatoe cakes I make better ones than this smh

Perhaps we had arrived at a time post New Years eve when the staff may have been tired or perhaps being rude and lackadaisical is part of the service?
We had booked a table requesting a table on the terrace. On arrival we were greeted by the maitre de, who took her time checking us in and then told to wait as she sought a table. We waited at least five minutes, if not longer, and she did not come back. She had disappeared into 'thin air'. A few minutes later another member of the waiting staff, asked if they could help us. There was now a line behind us. We explained that we had been waiting for the maître de who said she would 'be back'. This waiter again checked us in and said: 'you already have tick, just wait'. Meanwhile my partner visited the restrooms and came back dismayed at the state of the restrooms (shared by the restaurant next door, and clearly not serviced in a while). Eventually the member of the waiting staff came back and said there were no tables on the terrace and pointed to a sole table in doors with no tablecloth or cutlery and said you can sit there if you want. There were no other diners and in a soulless location without air-conditioning. We decided to leave. Cannot comment about the food but going back to Roundhill was a relief.

This spot is tucked away beside Margaritaville on the hip strip. We came to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint. This beautiful oceanside restaurant has a breathtaking view, friendly, professional service and tasty food. I ordered the druken lobster and my husband had the steak, both dishes were top notch. I highly recommend ❤️

The atmosphere was good, and the food excellent. Absolutely no complaints at all. Love the local stingray that swims past most evenings im told...Had a lovely soup of the day, a great steak and a glass of a good red wine.

We had a great dinner here with our family. The sunset view from their deck was the best!! Drinks were ok, calamari not so great, but the service was on point and time with family enjoying each other's company was wonderful. My lobster/steak combo was the best meal out of the 4, my daughter's shrimp was good, my son and husband's entrees were average. I would go back again for the view and service!!

We visited in January 2020. The ambiance was just stunning! The sun set and sitting at the edge of the water was just breath taking. The food was so fresh and delicious. The lobster just melts in your mouth. The service could improve but again, it’s the islands. No problem mon!
Extensive wine list!
Have a great time. One I’ll always remember!
I highly recommend Marguerites💚💛🖤🇯🇲 You won’t regret it.

Great and lovely waiter who did best he could but that’s where is stops. inedible food, same prices as eating at Half Moon or Round Hill. 2 hour wait for meals that were the standard if a sizzlers, if not worse. Worst restaurant experience I have had in years. If you’re staying at a lovely resort, don’t venture off for this lemon.

Beautiful spot right on the Caribbean. Food and service was excellent, extensive wine list, and the chef stopped by our table to talk to us. We dine here on every trip to Montego Bay. Escape the buffets at the all-inclusives and make visit Marguerite’s - they will send a car for you - it is well worth it!

They messed up my reservation time which was booked specifically so we could enjoy sunset. I emailed 3 days in advanced and tried to call many times but didn’t get a response. It was later explained that they didn’t open until 6 so I was never going to be picked up and get there by 6. If this had been explained prior, I would have made my own way there or looked elsewhere. Was very happy as I expected better. The food was okay but very pricey.

Best meal of our trip!
We stayed at the S Hotel, really close to Marguerites. It’s a very unassuming place from the outside, but with has a really cool history, amazing views, atmosphere (on the water) and food.
Highly recommend for a nice night out, it was a dinner to remember!

I recently revisited this restaurant with my bf for our third anniversary and we weren't disappointed as it related to the standards; it was the same as the last time we visited last year. The food is great ! (Thumbs up to the chef 👍). Ambiance and customer service is top knotch. The reason why I'm removing a star from this review is related to ventilation. The day we visited wasn't a cool day and was very rainy so I was very hot and sweaty and the fans in the restaurant don't help that situation as it seems they just add to the aestethics. I'm not sure what's wrong with the air conditioning but If that problem was addressed it would have made it an even better experience for us and future customers. Otherwise, it was nice and we'd visit again.

My partner and I visited last night for their Valentine’s Day special and we had a great time. We were attended to immediately and all the servers were super polite especially our waiter, Ricardo. We were in and out in less than 2 hours which is impressive. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and the environment was peaceful and romantic. Will absolutely visit again.

Excellent staff reviewed the menu options. We had lobster and grouper both perfect. Crab cake starter was also spot-on. Menu offered good choice of non-seafood items. Great wine list as well.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing!! The views, the staff, the food, the ambience, all top tier!! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that there could have better lighting for outdoor dining. Not a huge deal, but when the sun sets its very hard to see the menu and your food. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny!! Highly recommend if you're looking to celebrate a birthday or have a date night off of the resort!
