Walk right off the beach, doesn't matter what you are wearing, seating is outdoors or in an open air covered area. The staff are very friendly and professional. We ordered the ribeye steak and a 2 lb lobster. They bring you bettered fish and freshly made thin potato chips as a starter. We were shocked as we didn't order it.... More

We picked out our own lobster. The cut it in half and grilled it, you can watch the cook. The service was great and wish we would have went back for the fish. We paid $110 for 2 lobsters, that might be high end but we were enjoying the moment.

My husband and I had dinner here our second night in town as it came recommended by several people we had asked. It did not disappoint. Treated like royalty or honeymooners by our waiter Jésus. He started us off with homemade papas fritas, salad and fried mahi mahi sticks. The homemade fries were excellent! We split the paella mixto and... More

We went to Capitan Cooks on the recommendation of a client of mine to celebrate a family birthday. Upon arriving I have to admit it wasn't exactly what I was expecting appearance-wise and the service we got was not as prompt as it is in the United States. The atmosphere was very casual, no need to dress up and beautiful... More

Located on the beach, but for me that's the only positive point. The food is greasy. I ordered a second drink and they simply forgot it until we asked for the bill.

My first visit to Punta Cana started from Captain Cook. There were six of us. We were advised by our travel agent to visit Captain Cook for dinner as one of the best seafood restaurants in Punta Cana. The agent was so right! We spent c. RD$5000 for huge prawns, mussels, squids, white fish, homemade chips, coke and sparkling water.... More

It was Cook who linked citrus with avoidance of scurvy, there are lots of such flavours in the Dominican republic. The location is spectacular. The food is of a very high standard and the staff and whole atmosphere is welcoming.

This is an excellent beach front restaurant with great food and service. They literally let you pick the fish you want cooked for your meal! Grouper is terrific! Prices very reasonable!

I read the reviews and wanted to try some good seafood. The taxi guy new exactly where to go. Taxi's here are insane I paid 25$ to go about 5 1/2 miles from my hotel one way. This is after starting haggling at $35. You walk in off the street lined with cheesy shops and characters and I liked the... More
