The service and food were poor and we do not have unrealistic standards. It was early evening and there was 3 other couples on the top balcony some get drinks only, some eating and some finishing up. There was 3 waiters Bob the top balcony...who had very poor customer service skills. When I looked over at one point one waiter was looking right at me and picking dry boogers out of his nose. DISGUSTING! If you want to pick dry boogers from your nose go to the restroom right behind you. The wait staff seemed more consumed with setting up for a large party that had not arrived. We had to finally ask to place our order as the wait staff never came to take our order. We both ordered the Cuban sandwich because some friends of ours had talked to us about how delicious it the sandwich was at the restaurant. Honestly, it was the worst food we have eaten in Puerto Vallarta in the 10 years we have been coming to Puerto Vallarta. Stay away from this restaurant there are plenty of other amazing restaurants in the Romantic zone or on the Malecon. I have attached a picture of the bread and meat on the sandwich. The meat was incredibly dry and the bread dominated the sandwich. Each half of the sandwich got 3 little pieces of meat in the picture.More

Went in a group. Prepaid meal pretty dreadful. Better to assess it singly, maybe a la carte instead. Probably worth a second visit……

Loved this bar! Mojitos were delicious and the ambience amazing!! My partner also stopped the band, got down on one knee and proposed! I was blown away! The band sang and celebrated with us - so special! Do not miss this as a stop in...Havana!! XMore

I visited Havana recently and my friends always told me to visit La Bodeguita del Medio, so I did, great place, it's semi casual, great service and the best Mojito I have tried ever!

I really enjoyed visiting and eating here. Service was great and very quick. They had a live music band on which made the atmosphere great. The food was good and great value for menu - one place in Havana where they are not ripping tourists...off!More

La Bodegita del Medio and mojito should be synonyms!! That means all! People that leave bad reviews for their mojito they simply don't know how a mojito should taste. Respect to the barman on the main pic as he is serving since 1991 and he...is an absolute master in mojito's!!! Thanks for teaching me. Love from Grecia!!!More

Only a small rough looking place, but what a night. Mojitos and more Mojitos. Live band playing, belting out the songs. Can pay in € £ $. Had a great time, had a meal at the rear of property a few days later. Definately worth...a visit to experience the atmosphereMore

In Havana we went to Bodeguita del Medio, very late so people had their meal already but we where hungry so we decided to try as before the food is good, the ropa vieja with motors and cristianos wow, and a good mojito at the...end. Some times confusion the change with the currency but everything for two people was around the 750 cuban pesos which is around 45 CAD no bad at all considering I was hungry so order ropa vieja, salad, moros and cristianos and sweet potato fries with a bear and two mojitos after. Will go again and again.More

We only had a drink, it wasn't the cheapest, but we thought we had better try the mojito. I watched them make it and they chucked plenty of rum in and I thought we were going a rough drink, but we ended up with perfectly...mixed mojitos. Went down easy, very refreshing.More

I have been to the original location in Havana and can safely say that the Varadero location is just as good. Start off with the Ernest Hemingway Mojito, add a salad and pulled beef! Finish it off with their home made flan cake! You can't...go wrong!More

I would say no. There are only 8 bar stools in an "L" shaped bar. It opens up onto the street. Many people get their drinks and stand outside to listen to the local music. Worth the trip. Try off hours and it might not be... More
