On the way to this restaurant there were lots of people trying to get you into their restaurants but not this one as there was no need. We got a nice table outside, the food was excellent, really tasty and very well presented. The service was superb and we would definitely return. Cost us £29 for 2 people, which was for 2 starters, 2 mains & 1 G&T.

Good food and excellent service, one of the best among those tried in Cuba where speed is not particularly common. The lobster (really huge) and the sangria are recommended. The Dona Eutimia empanadas that we reordered were excellent. We recommend paying in pesos because the exchange rate with the euro is not particularly correct (the official one is 1€ for 240pesos, the one they apply is 150pesos)

We read good reviews of this restaurant so we made a reservation and decided to try it. It is centrally located in Havana near the Cathedral. My husband tried the lamb and found that there was a bit of lamb meat around a plate of large bones. I had a pork dish and the meat was so dry and tough I could hardly chew it. We decided that the meal was not good value for the money and wouldn't recommend it.

Cute small and family restaurant, at the very end of an alley. Delicious authentic food, boss still serves herself and the rest of the staff is also very accommodating. English-speaking waiters and map are available. Prices reasonable.

Best restaurant in Old Havana!!

Best restaurant in Old Havana!! We really enjoyed having dinner there two times, a lot of choices, our waiter Dayan was the best, very nice and attentive. The best guava and mamey ice cream, we had the lobster one day and it was delicious, the pork was stunning too. The whole family enjoyed the dinner from appetizers to deserts. We will be back. Gracias for todo!!

Live music just outside, and you can sit out there as well, but I love the coziness inside. Great food, always good. I’ve really only been there 5 times, but I’ll always make it a point to make reservations just to make sure I can get a table. This last time, for dinner with family, it happened that it wasn’t crowded, but previously there always had been people waiting outside to get in. Also, this time, there were no people along the walk, trying to divert you to one of the other restaurants there along the way. Previously, some of them quite pressed you to change your mind and go to a different restaurant, which was a little irksome. My favorite dish there is fried pork chunks. Masas de Cerdo, or something close to it is the name. And their drinks are great. You can get tables near the bar and watch the drinks being made. My favorite restaurant in havana.

Refrain from going. Although no one goes to Cuba to enjoy its cuisine, since it is very limited and very little achieved, this place is truly bad. Taking into account the scarcity and lack of food on the island, it is really sad to have to leave food on the plate. But both the quality of the food, the cooking, and the preparation and mixing of the food is very mediocre. This happened in two of the dishes that are promoted as the best and that I do not recommend at all, such as the greasy taro fritters and the ropa Vieja. Although it must be said that the paladares eat the same as in many hotels at a lower price, do not expect to eat well. The difficulties and shortcomings are many. Starting with the food and ending with a very poor service towards the customer throughout the Island.

This restaurant is on a dead end street with a big art gallery at the end. If you wish to eat the classical Rope de Vieja dish this is the place! It comes with rice and beans. More than satisfying to eyes and stomach =)

Small family run restaurant hidden away down alley off Plaza de lap Cathedral. Everything we ate Roja Viejo, Lobster, Empanadas, Black beans and rice was full of great flavours and cooked to perfection. Great service from our waiter how had great English and had fun with us ordering in terrible Spanish. The best Mojitos in Havana was the cherry on top. Highly recommend

This is a great place. Located in a cul de sac very near the cathedral and surrounded with the few restaurants stands this charming restaurant. Atmosphere is great ( at lunch time), live music playing, food is good, and prices very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Perfect place, well served and everything at a good level. We ate lobster enchilada and ropa Vieja, plus some homemade croquettes, which reminded me of my grandmother's. Anyway. A marvel. The service of 10.

Excellent food in a nice place. We like them to be simple but good. With top-notch attention. We returned twice on our trip because it is worth the visit eating in Cuba and with these attentive Cubans. I highly recommend.

Authentic food in the heart of Havana. This cute little restaurant is slightly hidden away off one of the main plazas. Very reasonably priced the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. I would recommend the traditional lamb ropa vieja.

The best ropa vieja we got in Cuba

Our guide in old Havana recommended this place for dinner, and we decided to give it a try. It's located in a back alley in the old town, with a lot of similar looking restaurants near by. But choosing this one is a good choice. We had the ropa vieja, and it was just excelent, so was the beans and rice. Great atmosphere with the most charming street musicians in Havana standing right outside. We visited this place on our first night in Cuba, and ended up going back two weeks later, when our trip was coming to an end, just to experience that meal one more time. That's how good it was.

Very small restaurant, lost between others, easy to miss if you do not know the place. But surely worth the effort, we had the best dinner in Havana, great food, tasty cocktails and some genuine Cuban music on the street...the artists are singing for some four restaurants in the same time. Count maybe 25 eur per person, very affordable.
