Odds are Dona’s is a spot requiring more than one visit, because they offer too much. And that is to say nothing about their location, right in Old Havana, and just overall the feel of this place. This is precisely the kind of spot I’d hoped to encounter when coming to Havana, a place that harkens back to the past and lets you glimpse the how delicious Cuban food can be. That they are so close to the Plaza is an added bonus.

Worth seeking out this little restaurant tucked away Ignacious Street. Touts call you in to the street, but take no notice. If there are a few people waiting then you’ll be sure to get in if you’ve not made a reservation as they are pretty efficient. Lovely genuine food, we went I. The evening and we had the shredded beef which came with beans and rice, as does most traditional Cuban food 😊 Nice atmosphere and good service. Hope this review helps you make a choice for your next meal! Sx

Shredded beef with olives was a phenomenal dish. And the Cuba Libre's were strong and well-made. I went on a Monday night and knowing that I didn't have working wifi to make a reservation, I deliberately got there early to avoid any rush and see if I could get a table. When I explained this to the host, he was visibly annoyed while seating me and seemed almost reluctant to allow me to sit in the then-empty restaurant.

Restaurant to avoid. The map shows beers at 3 CUC but on arrival you are served a non-Cuban beer because there is no more Cuban, for the price of 4 CUC. 4 CUC also for coffee, the most expensive in Cuba. You are told that you only pay if you like. They served a lobster to our neighbor where there was more mayonnaise than lobster.

We had dinner there as was recommended by a local and good it was. We shared croquettes, fried chicken fajitas, ropa veijo all washed down with an excellent bottle of excellent Chilean wine. All at very reasonably prices.

While Cuba is not known for their stellar restaurants, this one stood out with excellent "home style" meals and great service, and awesome frozen mojitos. Best beans we had on the trip, best milanesa and best roast pork. Can't say enough good things about it - you may need a reservation if you plan to go around peak times.

The good: safe food and nice location, particularly if you get a table indoors and away from the stray cats and roaming musicians. The fruit juices (watermelon and pineapple) were very tasty. The food is nothing special, but compared with the awful fare on offer in Cuba, is above average in this restaurant. I had the ropa vieja. Finally, if you pay in USD, it's cheaper! The bad: we saw a couple of different guys acting as the maitre-d on different days. One of them was extremely rude to a couple of ladies in front of us, and seemed to get off on turning people away. Impossible to get seated without a reservation. Also connected; we were harassed on our way in and out of the passage and had an awful meal at the restaurant next door.

Great meal, well priced and service is excellent. Only cost us about 75 euros for three people for three courses (ask to pay in euro,as in all private cuban restaurants these days). The house Mojito frappe is to die for!

Visited this place for lunch on our first day in Havana. We had the picadillo a la habanera and the ropa veijo (and if any one can tell me why their national dish is named old clothes, I’m all ears). We proceeded to spend many more days in Havana and then drive half the country, and we couldn’t find traditional food of that same taste and quality anywhere. So we came back for dinner when we arrived back in Havana after a couple weeks. This restaurant is really excellent. Service is superb, food is amazing, and the owner/maître d’ is accomodating and efficient. My only tip for the owners (and this goes for every restaurant Cuba pretty much), is maybe dim the lights inside a little. Or get less intense bulbs, if possible. That one thing goes a long way to creating more ambience and a better dining experience. This is a standout restaurant, not just by comparison to its competition, but in general.

We made a booking here (in person one evening) and asked to be seated outside. We double checked once he wrote down the booking that we would in fact be seated outside and he rudely told us that we would be (even though we could see that he hadn't in fact written any notes next to our booking). When we arrived the next night for our reservation (on time), they had given away all of the outdoor seating and offered no apology at all. I think they've unfortunately gained in popularity so now treat customers with contempt and arrogance. Go to Esto no es un café instead - the food and service there is exceptional (and it's just next door!)

Dona Eutimia Is a very traditional and historic Place. Dishes are really tasty and well cooked and served. Ropa vieja Is One of the best in cuba but Also lobster Is really delicious Meat and fish are both valid alternatives with regular prices. Furthermore the location Is in the hearth of Havana vieja with special local people singing and dancing in the street

Recommended this little place by a local tour rep. It is located at the end of a small cul-de-sac along with a few other restaurants in the heart of the old town, the atmosphere is good. We (family of 4 Adults and a child) were welcomed warmly by helpful staff who explained the menu and made recommendations for drinks and food. The food and drink were all of really good quality, prepared fresh and presented well. Our family favourites were the fish in garlic sauce and the ropa vieja (especially the black beans on the side). They were happy to accept US dollar to pay and have a fair exchange rate and fair prices. Our only regret is that our child was worn out from a combination of jet lag and walking around Havana in the heat and couldn’t stay longer. Thank you.

Food was delicious, the starters, the main courses, and deserts, good variety, feels like eating old granma's food, made with lots of love. The Mamey and the Coconut Icecream made me go back, as well as the lamb "ropa vieja". Became one of my favorites restaurants in Havana.

On the way to this restaurant there were lots of people trying to get you into their restaurants but not this one as there was no need. We got a nice table outside, the food was excellent, really tasty and very well presented. The service was superb and we would definitely return. Cost us £29 for 2 people, which was for 2 starters, 2 mains & 1 G&T.

We read good reviews of this restaurant so we made a reservation and decided to try it. It is centrally located in Havana near the Cathedral. My husband tried the lamb and found that there was a bit of lamb meat around a plate of large bones. I had a pork dish and the meat was so dry and tough I could hardly chew it. We decided that the meal was not good value for the money and wouldn't recommend it.
