Only one good dish was wild pork. Nice tasty sauce with a truffle mashed taro. We also got the San cristobal fish which was disappointing since the waiter recommended it. Very bland and a lot of garlic which overpowered everything else. We also got the Havana style soup and malecon salad (seafood). Both need more seasoning to boost flavor. After... More

We were personally escorted to a private room where a large round table fit our group of 8 perfectly. Surrounding us were antiques and pictures from floor to high ceiling. In a corner were pictures, letters and other evidence that President and Michelle Obama ate in the room at our table when they visited Cuba. The waiters were pitch perfect... More

This was my second visit to San Cristobal - the first was several years ago, over the Christmas holiday. We were so disappointed- to the point of almost being offended - by the service we received. We are in Havana for a special Mother's Day weekend (with my 87 year old mom and two daughters), and were especially looking forward... More

While the restaurant was beautiful and most of the staff was very friendly, our waiter was absolutely terrible. He literally insulted us at the end of the meal and made for the worst experience of our trip to Cuba. I think they have become too popular after Obamas visit and quality has fallen, which was very disappointing. Perhaps it is... More

I booked here a couple of months before arriving in Cuba. We were seated straight away on arrival at 8pm. My husband had the lamb stew which was very tasty. We also had the appetiser for 2 which was lovely. The surroundings were wonderful and we've got some great photos. The service was sometimes a little slow though. It was... More

We walked in for lunch at about 11.45 am without a reservation but was asked to come back at 1 pm which we did. We ordered the lamb stew and florida fish based on the recommendation of the waiter. The florida fish tasted like bad chinese takeaway orange / mongolian chicken sauce. The interior decor was lovely. Else, there pls... More

Great restaurant if looking for an upscale Cuban ambiance. The food was good, but not great. It is difficult to get a reservation, so you must book way in advance. My friends and I were able to get a last minute reservation, however when we arrived we waited nearly 2 hours to be seated. Perhaps it was busier than typical... More

This is where we hd our best meal in Cuba. The rooms were fun to see, the staff was so good and friendly and the food delicious. We tried to go back for a second meal there, but they were closed. We were very disappointed.

Managed to get a late booking. Arrived and had to wait for large party to clear and then we were pretty much alone, so service was pretty good!! Small menu which in my mind is always good. Prawns and Lobster to start and Fish in orange sauce and fish stew to follow followed by creme brulee, all very good. Coffee... More

The food was great, the service was outstanding and place is packed with memorabilia. You can eat out for much cheaper is Havana (our cheapest dinner was $5.50 for two people, total) but this place is much better quality that the mid priced restaurants aimed at tourist that fill the old town. We visited for my boyfriends birthday and it... More
