We stumbled across this place by chance. It was a beautiful place to take a break, have a cocktail and soak in the beauty of Havana. Daiquiris were the best I had in Havana. Live music was lovely and visited the tarot card readers afterwards. Take money for the bathroom attendant.

Beautiful place for a lovely lunch except for the terrible service and the mediocre food. Usually the vibe makes up for bad food, but not this time. It seems that they don't like tourists. Not nice at all! So sad for such a pretty place.

I have eaten there with groups many times because the atmosphere, especially out front, is so fun. Still the food is lacking in flavor or spices, as is sadly the case with many government run restaurants. Ask for sauteed onions or garlic to give things more taste, or just play it safe with rice and beans and skip meat altogether.

We spent almost 3 hours here waiting for someone, so I know it well. They divide the patio into "drinks only" and "diners". We opted for drinks only section on the patio. You have a nice view of the square and it's a fun place to watch your fellow tourists once you're done admiring the magnificent Cuban Baroque architecture and... More

This was the worst meal we had in Havana on so many levels.. From service, which was friendly by the way, to food, it was some god awful.. It's consistently shocking how bad the food is in Cuba.. Communism killed the entire food culture.. It's bad, like really bad.. Here, it's worse. Food, we ordered, it took just about 45... More

Stopped here for dinner one evening as our restaurant of choice was full. What a mistake! The food was absolutely dreadful. The beef was so tough it was inedible... we could not eat any of the meal apart from some bread and rice. The meat was all given to the feral cats on the square. When noted to the waitress... More

Not a bad place to grab a drink in Plaza de la Catedral if looking to avoid the crowds at La Bodeguita or waiting for a table at Done Eutimia or El Rum Rum.

El Patio had a very relaxing athmosphere specially the terrace facing the cathedral. It is a big pleasure there having a rest in the middle of a city tour, drinking Cuvan cervezas with delicious seafood, most dpecial with calamaris. Very very nice restaurant, a bit very busy by tourists if you visit at lunch time, but worth it.

Both the outside seats on the patio facing the square and the tables in the intimate courtyard are great. But it takes ages getting a drink or the food, had to go inside a couple of times to get it after e.g. waiting over 20 minutes for a beer having asked for it three times. There weren't many customers but... More

Had a very relaxed lunch here. Yes service is slow but we're on holiday and really enjoyed the ambience. Lovely music and pleasant waitress. Food was ok and good size portions, grilled fish with taro purée, two large fish and prawn skewers, a vegetable salad, cheesecake 4 mojitos and two beers, a large sparkling water, 2 coffees for €56.
