This is a wonderful little cafe in La Habana Vieja. The pork sandwich was absolutely delicious, with tender, flavorful meat, fresh greens, and perfectly toasted bread. The cappuccino was rich and creamy. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the visit even more enjoyable.
Tried out based on reviews for a spot of lunch and a break from walking around Havana. Great stop off. Tasty food, pleasant staff, could pay in Euros.

We visited a couple of times during our stay in Havana. The staff were always friendly, welcoming and spoke very good English. We had the breakfast with eggs and pancakes as well as their sandwiches and coffee all of which were fantastic.

We stopped for lunch at about 3 pm and had a few delicious sandwiches and great (strong! :)) rum cocktails. Service was professional, decor was chic, prices were very reasonable. Like most Cuban establishments, El Cafe is open-air and we enjoyed the local cat who...sat patiently under our table awaiting a bit of pulled pork.More

Fantastic for our family lunch. A variety of light choices, much more variety than other places in Havana. Salads, sandwiches, breakfast options. Beautiful Central setting. Friendly, accommodating and English speaking staff.

We found this cafe when doing a Google search for vegan food in La Habana. Glad we found it. One of the only places where meals were labelled vegan. Staff were friendly, cafe was tastefully decorated and clean. We had breakfast here once, lunch twice...and a takeaway as well. They could do with putting a sign at the front as it’s easy to miss unless you’re looking for it.More

We were in Havana for 5daus and had breakfast here twice. A little hard to find but worth the effort as good choice and great quality. Also super value at around 500 cups for a full breakfast

I’d seen great reviews on this cafe on Tripadvisor, so took my sister and mum there for a bit of lunch. I have to say, with us being from England and it been our first time in Havana, it wasn’t an easy place to find...at all! We had no internet for Google maps and it’s hidden down a little alley kind of cobbled street. There’s no sign outside and we thought it had to be on that street so walked down, and even then almost walked past but happened to see the chalk board on the wall through the open door. - But there were loads of locals in there and I can see why! Lovely place. The food was lovely and the homemade lemonade was even better! (I deffo recommend trying it). For our 3 sandwiches and 3 lemonades it came to €28 or 1560 pesos. (For our exchange rate it was better for us to pay in euros).More

Really good breakfast with fresh ingredients. Really yummy and sweet giant avocados! Coffee is great as well. It’s kind of hard to find - it really is a tiny little hole in the wall but it’s well worth getting a little lost on the way.
A great little cafe understandably popular with tourists, tucked away down a side street in Old Havana. The breakfasts and coffee were great, and good vfm, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. There's a decidedly hipster vibe to the place, and it does get crowded,...but overall a very lovely place to eat or grab a drink.More
Nelson the owner and Lola the manager and the entire staff are friendly and amazing! The menu is large and so is the drink selection. Service is first come first seated. Line forms early. Menu is in Spanish and English on paper and on the...walls above the register. The pancakes with fruit and honey along with a Dark n Stormy is a delicious way to start the day. Another delicious option is the yogurt and granola! Lunch recommendation would be the BLT & egg and possibly a mojito! Again, the staff are friendly and amazing!!!!More
