From the moment you drive through the gates at Sandy Lane you know that you are about to enjoy a great occasion and once again we were not disappointed. A warm and friendly Bajan welcome greeted us upon arrival as we were shown to the L'Acajou bar for pre-dinner cocktails. The varied and sophisticated menu provided a difficult choice but... More

We have been visiting Sandy Lane since 2003 and have dined at both Bajan Blue and L'Acajou on each visit. Sandy Lane is a fantastic looking Hotel but it does like to cater more to its house guests than mere "outsiders" sometimes. The restaurant its self is beautifully appointed and if you manage to get a nice seat you can... More

You'd have to be a bit indulgent to eat at L'Acajou regularly and quite wealthy. It's a very special place and I feel privileged to have been a few times. It has always been outstanding and one of the highlights of our trips here. Well done Sandy Lane

L’Acajou was again quite outstanding. They will cook more or less anything that we ask for and again this year we had the assistance of executive sous chef Brian - we even met the man himself Emmanuel. I don't know if the Michelin guide covers the Caribbean and I don't know if SL would be interested but I believe that... More

We had not visited L'Acajou before and were very pleasantly surprised. This is the closest we have come to a Michelin dining experience in Barbados. The surroundings were beautiful and the staff were wonderful and attentive with a great attention to detail. We had cocktails first and then were shown to a wonderfully positioned table, there were lovely choices on... More

Probably our most disappointing visit to L'Acajou. The main reason we have eaten at L'Acajou on numerous occasions - tasting menu with wines to match. Unfortunately they are no longer offering this menu and have decided to do Chefs recommendation instead. Whilst this is very nice, it means on a food level the restaurant no longer stands out from the... More

Had a great evening at L'Acajou with friends. The security is very tight as you would expect with celebs visiting. The attention to detail is awesome. The food was very good with a large menu. The service was impeccable. The cost was approx. £280 including a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc

By far the best restaurant we have visited on the island. The food is exceptional and the service and attention to detail is very good. The chefs had prepared special amuse bouche and canapés for us as we have some dietary problems. The bread was very tasty and prepared for us too. We both had the halibut for main which... More

This is one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever dined at but the service and food are top notch. The portions are small and the price is huge. For example Evian water costs $10US for a liter. The view is spectacular, I guess that is what you are paying for.

Description
The stunning open-air beachfront setting of our chic fine dining restaurant is magical. The romantic L'Acajou specialises in light cuisine paired with an impressive range of Old and New World wines. Dining in Barbados under a canopy of mahogany trees with the gentle sounds of the ocean is a very special experience.
