The menu is like a leprechaun, short and can hardly see it. The service is garbage. Especially at the bar.More

I'm just wondering if you could elaborate for me on when you visited and how we were so disappointing, we usually get great reviews and try very hard to give everyone great service. This place is our baby and we pour our heart and soul...More

Jugiong is a lovely, quiet little country town. The refurbishment of the Sir George as a country pub adds to its attractions. Set in a historic building, the Sir George offers a range of dining spaces, indoors and outside, with plenty of character. We had...More

We first heard about the Sir George hotel when it appeared on the Sydney Weekender, and we decided it would be a great spot to stop between Goulburn and Tumut. It was lovely to leave the cold and wet weather outside and walk into a...More

Hi Kate H For some reason, Tripadvisor wont l let me respond to your reply with details We came in a couple of weekends ago, based on a recommendation from a friend. We were initially let down by a tattood bar lady at the bar who seemed very rude with her service, overlooked people who were waiting, including us on multiple occasions. there were maybe 2 people at the bar at any given time that afternoon. She struggled to provide any decent level of service. Two of the women that were in our group did not get served for about 5 minutes even though they attempted to get her attention. She had passed them multiple times talking to another person at the bar. Secondly, your menu has great food, but it is very limited and does not provide for people with dietary requirements, you will forgive me for not remembering exactly what was on the menu, but i believe it was fairly restrictive and short. It would be nice if it was slightly more varied, we had a vegan, a non pork eater, a GF person in our group, and they all somewhat were limited in their options. I will say this, there were flashes of good service there, especially with the staff that were cleaning up the tables, however, even there we had a family next to us wait, and get served their food whilst some plates from the previous guests were still on the table. The plated were removed, albeit slowly. I think you have the makings of a great spot, it is a shame that upon entry, most of your guests would go to the bar, and the bar service was terrible on the day we visited. Maybe we will give it a shot again soon.

And so what is the question here? It's just one big whinge starting off having a go at a girl who has chosen to get a tattoo, a whine about someone who doesn't eat pork and a vegan who are hard enough to cater for in a city... More
