Enjoyed the moerkoffie and home made mutton pies in the lovely ambience so typical of a SA'can padstal. Thanks so much to the friendly ladies who gave us local tales and info and a glimpse into their lives! This is why we travel.

Found this hidden gem on our way to Knsyna taking the scenic route. The atmosphere was friendly and the views were breathtaking. Their chicken wrap and salad was AMAZING and their own produced fruit juice was out of this world. I even did some wine tasting. I would recommend anyone taking the R62 to stop and enjoy a leisure pit... More

We were driving to Uppington and stopped at the Akkerboom Plaasstal for coffee. Service was quick and friendly - great coffee and amazing melktert. Lovely garden area at the back. A great break and bought heaps of goodies and gifts from the shop.

If you ever have the time to visit the wonderful and secret getaway locations in the Northern Cape such as Augrabies Falls National Park, Riemvasmaak Hot springs, Witsand Nature Reserve, etc. there is a "MUST STOP" between Keimoes en Kakamas (+-20km from each in the center of 2 towns) ....called AKKERBOOM PLAASSTAL & GUEST HOUSE! Akkerboom Plaasstal is a Farm stall near Keimoes and Kakamas on way to the Augrabies falls and National Park - About 10km outside Keimoes Really a very nice coffee stop and sure you need to try the homemade pies 
