We could not fault the service, food , cost or ambiance . It was the best Sunday lunch we have enjoyed for ages. I had the beef which quite frankly was like a very good steak. Many thanks to all members of staff. We'll be...More

I have suffered years of visiting Cambridge and staying in the nearby Holiday Inn; every time I swore I would never return, and at last I kept my word and went to the Red Lion. My only regret is that I did not make the...More

Came here for dinner with a friend last month and it was a lovely dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful and the cordials on the bar which were specials were yummy. Dinner was tasty although the sweet potato fries maybe slightly overcooked. A good price...More

Good choice on the Sunday menu with a selection of starters mains and deserts on offer. The beef was exceptional and the veg was lovely and fresh. The Yorkshire pudding was a tad chewy and hard to cut apart from that can't fault the main....More

Very nice atmosphere, staff excellent and very friendly, dog friendly (not just tolerant !), nice garden. Only downside was vegetable portions with the meal were a little small but meat was perfect. Very nice stop on the way back from a day out.

We came here as a bigger group (12 people) and had to pre-order food. But due to that we were served quite fast. It gets not too busy during lunch time but booking a table is recommended. It's a good pub for Cambridge standards.
