Stayed at The Baron for a weekend in early December to do some walking in the hills that surround the inn. The rooms are beautifully appointed, finished to a high standard and immaculately clean. You would be hard pressed to find a more comfortable bed! Downstairs is a super main bar and restaurant with some interesting old cider making equipment featured.... More

We spent three nights here as part of a tour of the Shropshire Hills; it was a perfect place to be able to reach so many of the wonderful sights in the region. The reception at the Baron was fine; the room was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Breakfast was extremely enjoyable and relaxed. The evening meals were fantastic -... More

We enjoyed good food and service at this hotel restaurant. Local ales are available at reasonable prices, but there is a very limited selection of wines by the glass. The restaurant has a good ambience, and the value reasonable.

The majority had a beef roast dinner which was beautiful, the beef was amazing! I had a pizza and hand cut chips, which I highly recommend. The staff were very... More

Stayed here with a couple of old school friends for an annual get together. Lovely pub, fabulous rooms, great staff in glorious countryside. Not a lot more to add. Oh, hope you like black pudding!

This tiny village boasts an excellent pub restaurant nestling in the Shropshire hills. Staff were very friendly and food choices on menu excellent. Very good value and in our opinion the best meals we had out of 3 restaurants were here at the Baron.

20 family members gathered for a big celebration. The food is superb, fresh, tasty and a good menu choice. GF also catered for in a really good way. It was sunny so outdoors was utilised, a lovely area with plenty of seats. Some members camped. I stayed in a room which was really well equipped, tastefully decorated and a most... More
