This cafe is located in beautiful surrounding next to a Govt. cinema hall in Bolpur. There is ample parking place. The building looks very pleasing and is kept clean( the toilets could be maintained better). You can choose to sit in the entrance or inside....Listen to lovely Rabindra sangeet musical. The service is friendly however our fresh lime water was so delayed that we had to cancel the order. We opted for fish curry( katla) thali @ Rs 250 ( excluding GST) only. The food is delightful specially the fish curry and cauliflower vegetable curry. The nolen gurer Rosogolla was delightful. The place was packed exhibiting its popularity.More

Ghare Baire is one of the popular restaurants in Bolpur - Shantiniketan. It serves traditional Bengali food. It has a nice decor. It’s good for dining for small groups as well as for parties. We ordered a vegetarian Thali plus fried Pomfret and Rehu. The...vegetarian Thali had Rice, Daal, Alu Poshto, Alu Parval, fried egg plant, salad, chutney and khajoor Rosogullas as Desert. Rosogullas were delicious. Quality of food was similar to Ram Shyam but the prices were double. One is paying for the ambiance and convenient location..More

I absolutely love this place. Though the food here is very good, what I liked more is the traditional Bengali dress of the staff and the beautiful plates and glasses. However, it is not pocket friendly and i not good for travellers with a tight...budget.More

Pros 1. Ambience is good 2. Veg Thali option was better than non-veg for lunch, Rice/Dal can be requested extra 3. Taste is good (specially paneer), portion size of curry is ok Cons 1. Price is on the higher side, around 250/head for lunch

A quaint little restaurant with ethnic furniture and fixtures. The ceiling is adorned with verses penned by the Bard himself with his trademark correction marks in flowing black ink which seem to acquire a life of their own once complete. Unfortunately, the good part of...your experience ends there. The food is mediocre at best. Do not order from the Indian or Chinese menu. The portions are enough for one person only. I did not order the Thali, so I have no idea how the Bengali food is, but the Bengalis around me seemed to be okay with their order.More

We were at Ghare BeIre earlier this month and as on all previous visits enjoyed both the lunch and dinner that we had here. This is a very comfortable and popular eatery located centrally not far from the Shantiniketan Tourist Lodge. Though the menu comprises...mostly dishes of Bengali origin there is enough on offer to cater to the culinary needs of the pan Indian or global visitor. Between lunch and dinner they also serve a selection of snacks which are quite tasty & wholesome .Reasonably priced, with a creative ambiance, you can come with family and kids to enjoy the food here. Service is prompt and friendly, the food lip smacking, what more can one ask for.More
