Excellent breakfast and tasty dinner choices. Not what one would expect being a captive audience, staying at this hotel with little choice around. Need to make reservations well in advance.
After a long day hiking, we came to the Lodge Dining Room well ahead of our reservation. Even though they were fully booked, the front desk was able to fit us in a bit early. Since we were exhausted, this was a god send. The food was fabulous and the views were amazing. We were lucky enough to be there... More
Wonderful view and excellent, excellent service. You need reservations for dinner, but they were exactly on the reservation time. Remarkable, since the room was full. Great food. If you go to the North Rim you really should plan on eating in the wonderful dining room.
Excellent food and service await you, but a bit costly. Reservations are necessary for dinner. The views of the canyon are special. There aren't many other places for good dining at the north Rim, so for a treat, it may be worth the expense. In the same building, just across the hall is another dining room which is for buffets.... More
After some troubles about the time of our reservation (nothing to do with the restaurant, just with the time zones) we got our table right at the window - what a view! The food is delicious, I had the stew and the bison steak and can recommend both! Our waiters were polite and quick. A very pleasant experience, we will... More
We visited in the days just after the park opened in May 2016. We camped in remote places along the rim (look to my other North Rim review for info) but we also visited the main park areas one day. When we arrived at the main park lodge we decided to have a drink on the deck. Interestingly enough though... More
I had the breakfast or lunch buffet on each of my three days at the North Rim. I was very satisfied with the quality and variety of selections available—meats, vegetables, and yes, bread. Services, too, was friendly, even with my buffet meals. I have visited around 20 US national park lodges and the food at most of them is pretty... More
We were at the north rim for 6 days and ate breakfast and dinner most of those days in the lodge dining room. There were other options, but why not enjoy the best food while surrounded by breathtaking canyon vistas and waited on by excellent staff? After getting up before dawn and hiking out the Bright Angel Point trail for... More
