Stopped in before the next leg of our trip. The sourdough pancakes were probably the best we have ever had. If we ever return to Alaska, Black Bear will be on our list

Stopped in for coffee this morning, it was super crowded, but the service was fast and friendly. My coffee was perfect, I'll definitely stop back by in the morning.

We stopped into this this funky little place outside of Denali to gear up on coffee and soup for the long bus ride deep into the park. The soups were fantastic!

In my family there are celiacs (gluten free), vegetarians, corn free people, and pescatarians. We are not easy to feed! So imagine my delight when The Black Bear, a small little coffeehouse embedded among the row of shops and restaurants in this area, not only...More

We stayed in town for few days and had out breakfast here every morning. Baked goods are delicious. Kids enjoyed their hot chocolate. They also serve gluten free goods, we tried apple pie and it was very good

Definitely a go to for anyone visiting the Denali area. Whether you want a pastry or a coffee, or you want a full breakfast or lunch, this is the perfect place. Delicious food, interesting menu. Wish we had it near my house in Florida!

We arrived by bus to Denali (Princess hotel) and wanted a quick lunch. If you want a quick lunch, go to subway because my only knock is we waited about 20 minutes for our four sandwiches. But the quality of the meal was very high....More

Description
The Black Bear is the place to go for hand crafted, delicious food. Voted BEST CAFE IN ALASKA by Food Network, we proudly stand behind all that we do.

Black Bear serves brunch every day until 3pm with delicious offerings such as biscuits & gravy, benedicts and classic egg breakfasts, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches on house brioche, burgers (both beefy and vegan) and our famous smoked gouda mac & cheese. Dinner offers something for everyone, from our vegan gluten-free coconut curry to wild Copper River coho salmon, braised short ribs and fresh handmade pasta with locally foraged morels. We love to find the best local and seasonal Alaskan products and bring them to the people.

We offer a full espresso bar, crafting locally roasted SteamDot coffee, as well as shakes and fresh fruit smoothies. You can expect fresh pastries coming out of our in-house bakery throughout the day (some vegan, gluten-free too). And our deli case is always full of quick grab and go items to take on your adventures. If you're coming off a busy day, just grab a local beer or glass of wine to enjoy while you linger on our deck, breathe deep and take in the mountains.

Black Bear offers something for everyone, whether you are on an indulgent dream vacation, or keeping on the healthy side. Locals love us, and you will too.
