This is a cafeteria type place with surprisingly good Mexican. My chicken quesadilla was really good. My daddies really liked her pork agrodada. Hubby got a nice looking grilled sandwich.

Visited the snack bar-style restaurant in the Carlsbad Caverns National Park visitors center for lunch on January 9, 2017. It is important to recognize that the Nation Parks Service's mass feeding contractors do not typically do a great job with foodservice (with some exceptions). However, this one was below average. We ordered the Chicken Quesadilla ($7.45) and the King's Palace... More

Bring a picnic, bag your lunch or just buy-it-elsewhere (there are open areas on the grounds). This is government food at its wurstest.

very basic, and adequate. had tacos and adovada, and they were just ok. not over-priced, so we were OK with it.

The place was quaint and the views were awsome. Quite an out of the way place to see and relax. Food was really good. There were 4 of us so we all ordered different lunch and shared.

The restaurant at the Carlsbad Cavern National Park is nothing more that a poor quality cafeteria. The selection was poor, the food was over cooked and the taste was bland at best.

This cafeteria style restaurant is located within the Carlsbad Caverns Visitor Center and we found that it was adequate for getting a lunch during our visit to the caverns. We had the Mexican selection and it was reasonably good and the price was not too inflated like some other National Parks. Unfortunately, the line can get quite long and move... More

This cafe is the 'only game in town' and it's pretty basic. Sandwiches, paninis, salads and soup - all cafeteria-style. There was nothing really special on the menu.

This is the usual NPS (national Park Service) food. It keeps body and soul together and is relatively expensive. Regards, OldeBear

It's underground, in the cave. That is the draw. The fare is easy, only a couple of choices. Should be super fast to get order and receive food...but...the credit card machine slows the line down considerably. They desperately need two cash drawers. One for cash only and one for credit card (during the busy season). Probably not necessary for slower... More
